What Amadeus Announced
Amadeus published two hotel distribution capabilities for leisure travel sellers on its Amadeus Hospitality press page on 15 September 2026. The page carries the byline Jennifer Axness and marks the article as republished from Amadeus Insights. The two capabilities are Amadeus Leisure Connect Plus and Amadeus Value Hotels. Both run through a strategic connectivity with HyperGuest, which the release describes as venture-backed and cloud-native.
What the Connection Carries
Leisure Connect Plus lets a seller manage and distribute its own private hotel agreements inside the Amadeus Travel Platform. The release states that the single connection reaches 150-plus channel managers through real-time APIs. The stated effects are automated rate and availability updates, faster hotel onboarding and content distribution across sales channels while the seller keeps control of its content and commercial strategy.
Value Hotels gains 15,000 directly sourced independent properties through the same connectivity, per the release. The release states that the connectivity also brings detailed rate plan information, property attributes and optional services.
The Day-Use Read
The release carries no day-use wording. A count over the published text returns zero occurrences of "day-use", zero of "hourly", zero of "day rate" and zero of "day pass". A day-use desk reading the announcement finds no daytime product, no window definition and no day-rate field.
The closest published term to a daytime window sits in the add-on list. Leisure Connect Plus supports targeted add-ons on private-rate hotels: breakfast, parking, upgrades, early or late check-out, kids club and spa.
The granular layer the release describes is the layer a day product needs. Rate plans, property attributes and optional services are the fields a daytime rate would travel in. The desk question is whether the connection reads an hourly or daytime rate plan.
Two Named Quotes
Claire Matanda, head of ecommerce and digital development at Abbey Group, says fragmentation within the distribution cycle has been one of the biggest challenges of her career in tourism. She reports reduced distribution friction and broader product access through the connection.
Mirja Sickel, executive vice president for hospitality distribution at Amadeus, says leisure hotel distribution remains a significant focus as the industry moves toward modern retailing. She says the structured content supports discovery and comparison as AI-assisted search grows.
What the Release Does Not Measure
The 150-plus channel managers and the 15,000 properties are Amadeus's own figures. The release publishes no date by which the properties appear. It publishes no cost figure for the workflows it replaces, and no performance data from a live seller beyond the two quotes.
A day-use price stays on the operator's own system until a channel carries a daytime product.
