Six Dates Published, No Clock
The 30th TIAA Big Ten Conference Men's Basketball Tournament runs Tuesday 9 March to Sunday 14 March 2027 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, 125 S. Pennsylvania St., Indianapolis. The conference published the six dates in its 2026-27 schedule release and states that tipoff times and television designations will be announced at a later date. The venue's event page lists each of the six dates with TBA against it.
Daytime inventory is sold by the hour and the window. No page publishes an hour for the tournament, so a day-use desk holds a date and a building and nothing more.
The Daily Load on the Ladder
The published round ladder fixes the load per day. Tuesday carries two first-round games among seeds 15 through 18. Wednesday carries four contests, with seeds 9 through 14 joining. Thursday carries four, with seeds 5 through 8 joining. Friday holds four quarterfinals, Saturday two semifinals and Sunday the championship game. The ladder produces 17 games across six days, with four teams on the floor Tuesday, eight on each of Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, four on Saturday and two on Sunday.
Wednesday to Friday is the flat run. Each of those three days loads the building with eight teams, and each sits between published dates with no published start.

The overnight market runs higher. Downtown Indianapolis averaged a $209.11 daily rate in the Downtown Indy Alliance snapshot that Bradford Allen published on 19 March 2026, with revenue per available room of $135.20 and occupancy of 64.7 percent against a U.S. average of 62.4 percent.
Six Nights and One Gap Night
The 2026-27 conference schedule closes with four games on Sunday 7 March. The tournament opens on Tuesday 9 March. Monday 8 March is the single night between the two. The tournament window holds six nights, 9 through 14 March, and a guest staying through the Sunday championship departs on Monday 15 March.
The Gate Terms a Day Guest Meets
The venue is cashless. Credit cards and contactless payments work at every point of purchase, and cash-to-card machines sit in the Entry Pavilion by the box office and at Sections 3, 19 and 210. Tickets arrive by mobile wallet, screenshots are not accepted at entry, and backpacks, hard-sided bags and any bag larger than 6 by 10 by 2 inches are refused at the door. Door opening times vary by event, and the venue publishes a 90-minute pre-tip window for Fever games only.
