What opened, and when
Canopy Deer Valley opened at Deer Valley East Village in Park City, Utah. Hilton's own release carries a publication stamp of 10 September 2026 and a question-and-answer block stating that the hotel opened in September 2026. The reprint on hotel-online.com that this row carries is datelined 16 September 2026. Extell Development Company developed the hotel, and it is Canopy Hotels' first property in Utah. The address is 2288 West Deer Hollow Road.
The Park Record reported on 27 June 2026 that the opening was expected at the end of that July and that the property was then awaiting finishing touches. Both dates stand as published.
The rate the operator publishes
Hilton states that rooms at Canopy Deer Valley start at $200 per night. That is the release's own floor, and it carries no room type, no season and no date.
The Park Record gives a season spread. Kat Barrett, vice president of commercial services at Extell, told the paper that a king room with a small balcony is expected to start around $300 per night in the offseason and to rise to $800 during peak ski season. Barrett's figures sit above the release floor. The floor is the lowest published entry point, and her range covers one room type across two seasons.
The room mix is published too. Of the 180 rooms, 96 are king rooms, 74 are queen-queen rooms and 10 are suites, according to the Park Record.
Barrett described the positioning as upper upscale and said the market carries little inventory at that level. She told the paper the hotel opens the destination to travellers who wanted to come.

Local access is stated for food and beverage. Barrett said the property will serve locals as well as visitors. Hilton's release says the four dining concepts are designed to welcome hotel guests and the local community from morning through evening. Those lines cover restaurants and public spaces.
Supply added to one village
Canopy Deer Valley is the third hotel to open in Deer Valley East Village, after the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley and Pioche Village, according to the Park Record. Extell owns Canopy Deer Valley and the neighbouring Grand Hyatt Deer Valley, and it is developing the Four Seasons and the Waldorf Astoria hotels at the new base area.
The Park Record reports that Canopy Deer Valley is the second property managed by Extell's own recently created hotel management arm, which has further properties in the pipeline.
For the brand, the Park Record reports that Canopy Deer Valley is the first property to come online with Canopy's refreshed identity, including a new logo and an updated colour palette. The paper states that the Canopy brand is 12 years old.
