685 Keys Open at 790 Seventh Avenue
IHG opened Crowne Plaza Manhattan Times Square on 2 September 2026 with 685 city-view guestrooms in a 22-story building at 790 Seventh Avenue, north of Times Square. Al Rayyan Tourism Investment Company, the Qatar-based investor known as ARTIC, developed the property, and Highgate manages it.
The opening's published inventory is nightly. Guestrooms, a bar and all-day dining room, a 24/7 market, a small meeting room and upper-floor suites make up the offer. Hotel Dive's report of the opening carries no hourly rate and no day room.
The Day-Use Market the Keys Sit In
Dayuse puts the average price of a day room in New York at $120 and names the Aliz Hotel Times Square as its recommended hourly property. hotelSlots lists 933 hotels taking day-use requests in New York on 25 September 2026, against 103,857 hotels across 46 states on the platform, with up to 75 percent off nightly rates and no booking fee.
Engine's New York series carries an average nightly rate of $336 across 11.1 million public rate observations from May 2024 to April 2026. New York ranks first of 50 markets, 127 percent above the $148 median, with rates running from $196 in January to $541 in December.
The Market Behind the Opening
Manhattan lodging revenue per available room rose more than 7 percent year over year in the first half of 2025, with average daily rate up 5.7 percent, on the PwC index Hotel Dive cites. Luxury hotels led with a RevPAR gain above 10 percent for the half.
Hyatt counts more than 30 hotels open in New York City, and the previous Crowne Plaza in Times Square, at 1605 Broadway, reopened as the 795-key Hyatt Regency Times Square in July 2025 under Highgate management.
What the Guest Buys at the Address
Fifty-First Street Social is the bar and all-day dining room, named for a nearby cross street. A 24/7 Marketplace sells grab-and-go food and travel essentials. The Studio is the meeting room, and IHG attaches Weekly Socials and Daily Rituals to the flag. The Manhattan Level occupies the 18th floor, and the Broadway Suite sits on the 22nd floor with a terrace.
What the Opening Leaves Unpublished
The release carries no starting rate, no renovation cost and no management term for the address. The brand's own figures are broader: more than 400 Crowne Plaza hotels open worldwide, a pipeline of nearly 150, more than 36,000 rooms to be added and half the global estate new or recently renovated.
