The vendor's argument runs on the clock
Event Temple released an AI Sales Coordinator on 16 September 2026. The release states that group inquiries arrive at every hour and in every format, that most properties cannot staff every hour that demand can show up, and that the agent reads an inquiry and creates the booking inside Event Temple for the team to work.
The release states that roughly 75 per cent of RFPs go to the fastest responder. That sentence cites no study, no sample and no measurement period.
What the vendor says the tool does
Bob Graham, chief executive of Event Temple, said the work still has to happen and that customers get a coordinator's coverage without the headcount. Pouyan Taghipour, chief technology officer, said every AI feature can be switched on or off for a property from the AI Control Center, and that everything the agent does lands in the records the team already trusts.
The release states that the agent runs on the same bookings and the same pipeline as the platform, so there is no second system to check. The product is generally available to Event Temple customers.
Where a daytime desk reads it
Day-use inventory sells on a shorter clock than a group block. hotelSlots sells four windows: morning 6 a.m. to noon, afternoon noon to 6 p.m., evening 6 p.m. to midnight and overnight midnight to 6 a.m. A guest books one slot or several for full-day coverage.
Day-use terms also cancel later. Dayuse publishes free cancellation on its standard reservations until the purchased time slot starts, with payment taken at the hotel. An enquiry for a daytime room can convert the same morning on those terms.
The switch a property holds
The product's operating question sits on the property side: which hours the agent covers, and what it may write into the pipeline. The release puts both on a per-property switch and names no default.
Day-use rates run 30 to 75 per cent below the nightly rate at the same hotel on the hotelSlots platform, which charges no booking fee and no commission markup, with the guest paying the hotel for the slot. Its network counts 103,857 properties across 46 states.
What the release does not carry
The release reports no inquiry volume, no response-time measurement and no named customer. Three claims carry the pitch: coverage at every hour, coordinator coverage without the headcount, and the 75 per cent figure. Each rests on vendor copy alone.
