Ten conversions and 672 rooms
Hilton signed 10 Spark by Hilton hotels across England and Wales through a strategic agreement with AG Hotels Group. The release is dated 14 September 2026. The ten hotels add 672 rooms. The openings run from late 2026 to 2028.
Hilton's own About block lists 28 brands, more than 9,400 properties and nearly 1.4 million rooms across 144 countries and territories.
Every room count, property by property
The Notes to Editors carries a count for each of the ten. Derby Station holds 100 rooms, the largest of the set. Peterborough Norman Cross holds 99. Washington Newcastle South holds 79. Wakefield South holds 77. Sunderland Northern Spire Bridge holds 63. Runcorn holds 53. Cardiff North, Doncaster East and Hull Central each hold 51. Coventry Walsgrave holds 48, the smallest.
The ten figures sum to 672. The release's subhead reads "nearly 700 rooms across the UK". Paul Blackmore, vice president for development in the UK and Ireland at Hilton, repeats that wording in his quote. The itemised list is the one that reconciles.
The anchors beside each address
The release locates each hotel against an employment centre, a transport hub or a visitor attraction. Two stand beside railway stations: Runcorn and Derby Station. Peterborough Norman Cross sits just off the A1(M). Wakefield South sits inside Monckton Business Park, close to the M1 and the M62. Coventry Walsgrave serves the University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire campus. Doncaster East overlooks Doncaster Racecourse. Hull Central serves the Port of Hull and the MKM Stadium. Sunderland Northern Spire Bridge serves the Stadium of Light. Cardiff North serves the A48 and the M4 corridor. Washington Newcastle South serves the industrial and logistics estates between Newcastle and Sunderland.
What the conversion model supplies
Spark by Hilton launched in 2023. An existing hotel repositions under the brand and takes Hilton's commercial platform and the Hilton Honors programme. The brand holds more than 275 open hotels worldwide and more than 200 properties in its development pipeline. The release names further growth in Italy and Spain and a debut in Saudi Arabia.
The release states no nightly rate for any of the ten. It also states no franchise, management or lease structure for any of them.
The Dunfermline signing sits outside the ten
Hilton signed a separate agreement with SMAR Hotels Ltd for Scotland's first Spark by Hilton, at Dunfermline. That property holds 53 rooms, sits about 17 miles northwest of Edinburgh and opens in late 2026 after a refurbishment. The release names dining spaces, meeting facilities and guest parking at that address. The Dunfermline hotel sits outside the 672.
The daytime terms the release leaves open
The release carries no hourly rate, no daytime window and no day-pass price for any of the ten hotels. It carries no meeting-space rate and no day-bed count at any of the addresses.
The ten addresses arrive as future day-use inventory with the room counts published and the rate terms unset.
