Hyatt’s Luxury Portfolio Builds Momentum Across the Americas

Hyatt set out its Americas luxury pipeline on 29 September 2026, led by three Park Hyatt addresses in Mexico, Alila Mayakoba, additions to The Unbound Collection and three Grand Hyatt resorts due in the fourth quarter.

Three Park Hyatt Addresses Across Mexico

Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) set out its Americas luxury pipeline in a release dated 29 September 2026 from Chicago. Mexico leads the update. The Park Hyatt brand tells a three-property story in the country. Park Hyatt Cabo del Sol opened in December 2025 as the brand’s first Mexican hotel. Park Hyatt Riviera Maya is expected by the end of 2026. Park Hyatt Mexico City Polanco is expected in spring 2027.

Cabo del Sol sits on the coast of Baja California Sur. Hyatt describes contemporary Mexican architecture, oceanfront dining and a wellness offering shaped by the surrounding landscape.

Park Hyatt Riviera Maya is set for a secluded stretch of Mexico’s Caribbean coastline, between Cancun and Puerto Morelos. Hyatt places the site at AMAI, a private coastal enclave reached through mangroves, and names Parks Hospitality Holdings as the owner in its release of 25 June 2026. Hyatt states the resort will be the world’s first all-inclusive Park Hyatt hotel. The format runs on personalised pre-arrival planning and entirely à la carte dining.

Mexico City Polanco Brings 155 Rooms and Suites

Park Hyatt Mexico City Polanco is expected to welcome its first guests in spring 2027. The hotel holds 155 rooms and suites on Campos Elíseos in Polanco, overlooking Chapultepec Park. Hyatt states that Mexican art, design and cuisine shape the interiors and the culinary offering.

Alila Mayakoba Covers 60 Acres With 182 Keys

Alila joined the Americas portfolio in February 2026 with Alila Mayakoba, inside the Mayakoba enclave on the Riviera Maya. The resort spreads across 60 acres of beach, lagoon and jungle, with 182 guestrooms, suites and villas, six dining destinations and a spa. The release of 12 February 2026 names RLH Properties as Hyatt’s partner on the project and calls the spa Spa Alila at Mayakoba. The September release uses the name Alila Spa. The Americas Alila set also holds Alila Ventana Big Sur, Alila Napa Valley and Alila Marea Beach Resort Encinitas.

From 1 October 2026 all four Alila properties join Erewhon’s Member Lifestyle Collective. Hyatt states that members can discover the participating hotels through Erewhon.

The Clayfield and Impression Isla Mujeres Join the Unbound Collection

The Clayfield is the wine-country retreat in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. Hyatt announced its opening on 17 September 2026. The property draws on the region’s clay-rich soil and surrounding vineyards, with warm earth tones, natural materials and tactile finishes.

Impression Isla Mujeres transitions into The Unbound Collection by Hyatt on 2 November 2026. The resort is adults-only and all-inclusive, with suite-led accommodation and butler service.

The collection also gains an experiences initiative this year. Hyatt lists private culinary and wine experiences alongside behind-the-scenes access to local culture, artists and makers. The Georgian, Hotel La Compañía Casco Antiguo and Impression Isla Mujeres sit among the properties Hyatt names for the programme.

Three Grand Hyatt Resorts Set for the Fourth Quarter

Grand Hyatt Grand Cayman, Grand Hyatt Cancun and Grand Hyatt Los Cabos are all set to open in the fourth quarter of 2026. Hyatt states that Cancun and Los Cabos add all-inclusive experiences to the Grand Hyatt offering in the Americas.

The release of 15 September 2026 gives Grand Hyatt Cancun 500 guestrooms including 47 suites, places it in Puerto Cancun with Grupo Diestra as owner, and expects a December opening. La Revue des Hôtels reports an opening on 28 November for Grand Hyatt Grand Cayman, with 382 keys on Seven Mile Beach. The release of 25 June 2026 places Grand Hyatt Los Cabos in the second half of 2026.

Tamara Lohan on the Portfolio’s Direction

Tamara Lohan, global brand leader for luxury at Hyatt, calls the new hotels individual and gracefully designed, and says the Americas portfolio grows with those principles in mind. Her statement names the Park Hyatt brand’s next chapter in Mexico, the Alila brand’s expansion in the Riviera Maya earlier this year, and the independent character of the hotels in The Unbound Collection. She says the focus is to grow thoughtfully, to give travellers more choice, and to keep a clear point of view and personal service at the centre of each hotel.

The Figures Hyatt Attributes to the Release

Hyatt closes the release with its corporate block: more than 1,500 hotels and all-inclusive properties in 83 countries across six continents as of 30 June 2026.

The release publishes no room count for Cabo del Sol, Riviera Maya, The Clayfield or Impression Isla Mujeres, and no room rate at any property. It carries no construction cost for any of the projects.
