Marriott's Seven-Hotel Thailand Signing Puts 928 Keys in Bangkok

Marriott International signed an agreement with FICO Corporation for seven hotels in Thailand. Bangkok takes five of them and 928 of the projected 1,262 keys, and the release dates none of the openings.

Seven Hotels and 1,262 Keys for Thailand

Marriott International has signed an agreement with FICO Corporation to bring seven hotels to Thailand. The company announced the deal on 7 October 2026. The portfolio is projected to add 1,262 keys across Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket. Five of the seven properties sit in the capital, and the remaining two take the resort markets of Pattaya and Phuket.

The Five Bangkok Properties

The Bangkok share of the portfolio runs to 928 keys across five hotels. JW Marriott Bangkok Sathorn is expected to carry 288 keys. Marriott describes it as guest rooms matched with sports and fitness facilities and a lifestyle hub. The signing extends the JW Marriott brand, which already trades in Thailand.

Four Points Flex by Sheraton accounts for three of the five. Four Points Flex by Sheraton Bangkok Sukhumvit 8 is expected at 162 keys, Sukhumvit 14 at 130 keys, and Surawong at 201 keys. Marriott lists all three close to the BTS skytrain network, and it labels the Surawong property heritage-rich.

citizenM Bangkok Sukhumvit 11 completes the Bangkok set. Marriott anticipates 147 keys there, with a food and beverage venue in the Sukhumvit district.

Three Brands New to Thailand

Three Marriott brands enter Thailand through this agreement. citizenM arrives with the Sukhumvit 11 hotel. Four Points Flex by Sheraton arrives with its three Bangkok properties. Series by Marriott, the group's collection brand, arrives in Pattaya and Phuket.

Four Points Flex by Sheraton and Four Points by Sheraton are separate brands in Marriott's system. The existing Bangkok portfolio carries the second of the two.

Two Resorts in Pattaya and Phuket

Series by Marriott takes the resort share of the signing. Easy Planet North Pattaya, Series by Marriott is set at 192 keys. Easy Planet Phuket Patong, Series by Marriott is set at 142 keys. The two resorts carry 334 keys between them.

Marriott describes Series as a collection brand that designs each hotel around the character of its destination, with the group's own system standards behind it.

The Existing Bangkok Set

Marriott and FICO Corporation already run four hotels in Bangkok under four brands. They are Hotel Muse Bangkok, Autograph Collection; Marriott Executive Apartments Bangkok Townhall Sukhumvit; Four Points by Sheraton Bangkok Ploenchit Sukhumvit; and Metropole Bangkok, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel.

The seven new hotels take the joint portfolio to 11 hotels across eight brands. Three of those brands will trade in Thailand for the first time once the hotels open. The other five already trade in the market through the two companies.

No Opening Dates

The announcement carries no opening dates. Marriott labels every key count and every brand entry as expected, anticipated or set to. That wording covers all seven properties, from the 288-key JW Marriott to the 130-key Four Points Flex. The 1,262 keys are a projection for a signed pipeline, and the release states no schedule, no start date and no completion date for any hotel in the group.

Menon on the Signing

Rajeev Menon, President for Asia Pacific excluding China at Marriott International, said the signing strengthens the relationship with FICO Corporation. He described the growing portfolio as a shared vision for a future of hospitality that embraces evolving traveler preferences, lifestyle experiences and destinations built for wellbeing and connection.
