The 2026 CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon publishes two daytime windows around race weekend. The Monumental Health and Fitness Expo and packet pickup run at the Indiana Convention Center on Thursday 5 November from 4 to 7 p.m. and Friday 6 November from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Those twelve hours sit outside the check-in clock of a downtown overnight booking.
Race day on Saturday 7 November publishes four clocks. Gear check opens at 6:30 a.m. at Washington Street and West Street. The marathon and the half marathon start at 8:00 a.m. The 5K starts at 8:40 a.m. The course closes at 3:30 p.m. A spectator who arrives for the start and leaves after the finish spends nine hours downtown.
The overnight inventory around those windows
General registration for all three in-person distances is closed. The organizer's banner carries the same line on every page: sold out, with limited charity entries available.
The race's housing block holds 14 downtown properties and closes online on 16 October 2026. A search on the block site on 25 September for the race Saturday night, 7 to 8 November, returned nine of the 14 properties at rates from $173 to $251. Searches for 5 to 8 November, 5 to 9 November and 3 to 9 November returned no property.
What a day room costs in this market
Dayuse prices a day room in Indianapolis at $87.43 on average and names Quality Inn & Suites Southport as its recommended property.
Engine puts the city's average nightly rate at $128 across 1.2 million public rate observations from May 2024 to April 2026 and ranks the market 39 of 50, fourteen percent below the $148 median. November averages $122, five percent below the city's own average.
hotelSlots carries two totals on its Indianapolis directory page: a header reading 273 hotels available, a list header reading "Showing 24 of 273", and body copy reading 123 hotels to choose from. Those are the page's figures on 25 September 2026.
The slots and the hours
Day-use platforms sell the hours inside a day. hotelSlots publishes four slots on its own site: morning, afternoon, evening and overnight. Dayuse publishes free cancellation, payment at the hotel, and a discount it states at up to 75 percent off an overnight stay.
What the dates ask of a revenue manager
The sell-out ends the walk-up route into the overnight market. The expo windows and the race-day morning window stay open, and the organizer publishes both months ahead.
A property that holds rooms outside the housing block can price the expo hours and the race-day hours on their own. The block's deadline ladder fixes the calendar: occupant names due 29 September, cancellation without penalty to 8 October with a $25 fee per reservation after that, new reservations or added nights from 5 to 16 October, and modifications through the Housing Bureau to 22 October.
Volunteer demand follows the same clock. The organizer's volunteer page states that the weekend takes "nearly more than 1,500 volunteers", with shifts on 5, 6 and 7 November.
