Fifteen hotels named across six Essentials brands
Hyatt Hotels Corporation published its Essentials portfolio growth release on 30 September 2026. The release, datelined Chicago, names new and upcoming hotels in the United States under Hyatt Place, Hyatt House, Hyatt Studios, Hyatt Select, Caption by Hyatt and Unscripted by Hyatt.
The additions sit in regional communities outside major metropolitan areas, coastal destinations, business hubs and extended-stay markets.
Williamsburg, Chesapeake and the Mohawk River
Hyatt Select Williamsburg offers rooms and suites, complimentary breakfast and programming tied to the country's 250th birthday. The release positions it for visits to Colonial Williamsburg and the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown.
Hyatt Studios Chesapeake is an extended-stay option for coastal Virginia. The 22-mile Dismal Swamp Canal, Norfolk and Virginia Beach sit nearby.
Hyatt House Schenectady / Mohawk Harbor carries suites with full kitchens, complimentary breakfast, an indoor pool and a fitness center. The Stockade District, the downtown arts district and the Mohawk River waterfront sit close by.
Chattanooga, Jackson, Galveston and Destin
Caption by Hyatt Chattanooga Downtown brings art, flexible furnishings and rooftop spaces to the Southside neighborhood, with a rooftop pool, local coffee and craft beer, and views of the Tennessee River waterfront. Hyatt calls it the first Hyatt property in the Scenic City.
Hyatt Place Jackson / West Tennessee holds rooms and suites with separate sleeping and seating areas, an outdoor pool and Vicari Italian Grill.
Hyatt Select Galveston - Beachfront pairs private balconies with indoor and outdoor pools and complimentary breakfast. Hyatt House Destin carries suites, kitchenettes, an outdoor pool and social spaces.
Hyatt Place Waco / Downtown is expected to open in early 2027 near the Brazos River, the city's cultural scene and Baylor University. It carries the only forward opening date in the release.
Kalispell, Mesa and two Ontario Airport hotels
Hyatt Studios Kalispell serves northwest Montana's Glacier Country with studio and one-bedroom suites, full kitchens, living spaces, complimentary breakfast, parking and a patio with grills and a firepit. Flathead Lake and Glacier National Park sit nearby.
The 233 Suites opened in downtown Mesa, Arizona under Unscripted by Hyatt with 76 suites. It anchors a Main Street redevelopment with extended-stay suites, full kitchens, Italian dining, coffee and gelato, and the Nightingale speakeasy.
Hyatt Place Ontario Airport and Hyatt House Ontario Airport sit at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains near the Ontario Convention Center and Toyota Arena. Both run a complimentary shuttle to Ontario International Airport, outdoor pools and 24/7 fitness centers, and the Hyatt House adds suites with kitchens.
Hive House in Cary and two hotels at Ho'opili
Hive House recently joined the Unscripted by Hyatt portfolio. The Cary, North Carolina property holds oversized suites with full kitchens, separate living spaces and curated artwork, with a locally inspired cafe near the Research Triangle and more than 100 miles of greenways.
Hyatt Place at Ho'opili and Hyatt House at Ho'opili bring outdoor pools and amenities for short and longer stays to O'ahu's western communities. The release calls them the first hotels in historic 'Ewa Beach.
Seven brands, 700 hotels and the member base
Hyatt states the Essentials portfolio holds more than 700 hotels across seven brands worldwide. The About block lists the seven as Caption by Hyatt, Unscripted by Hyatt, Hyatt Place, Hyatt House, Hyatt Studios, Hyatt Select and UrCove.
World of Hyatt holds 69 million members. The release directs travelers to hyatt.com or the World of Hyatt app and to free sign-up at hyatt.com/join.
Jason Ballard, senior vice president and global brand leader for Essentials, said travel does not always follow a plan and that the portfolio aims to bring fundamentals, technology and comfortable spaces to members and new guests.
The release publishes no room count for any named property outside The 233 Suites at 76 suites. Hyatt's corporate portfolio held more than 1,500 hotels and all-inclusive properties in 83 countries as of 30 June 2026.
