Three nights and one Saturday
The Indianapolis 8 Hour runs at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on 9 to 11 October 2026. The venue sells three gate days. The organiser dates the meeting 8 to 10 October.
The published clocks date three nights. Paddock and garage hours open at 6:30 a.m. Friday and run to 9:00 p.m., and the Saturday window runs 6:30 a.m. to midnight. A crew on the Friday opening and the Saturday close takes the Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
The 480-minute race starts at 12:30 p.m. Saturday and ends at 8:30 p.m. Sunday's paddock hours close at 6:00 p.m.
The field the entry list carries
SRO Motorsports Group publishes a provisional entry of 29 cars. The list carries a 15 September 2026 stamp and nine manufacturers: Porsche 11, Mercedes-AMG 6, Ferrari 3, BMW 3, Chevrolet 2, and Ford, Lamborghini, McLaren and Aston Martin one each.
Twenty-five of the 29 rows carry a United States nationality. Canada, Denmark, Germany and San Marino supply the other four. Three of those four run Porsche 911 GT3-R machinery, and the Danish entry runs the model without the EVO suffix the other ten Porsche rows carry.
The weekend closes the Intercontinental GT Challenge and GT World Challenge America titles. The series first raced at the speedway in 2020, and the American round moves to a Texas 8 Hour on 7 to 8 May 2027.
Twelve days separate the Barber Motorsports Park round on 25 to 27 September from the Friday paddock opening in Indianapolis.
What the venue prices
The venue's price table carries four purchase windows. The live column, open since 22 September, reads $85 for three-day general admission, $40 to $45 for Saturday, $30 for Sunday and $20 for Friday. Paddock Plus add-ons read $90, $50, $45 and $45.
The three-day price stepped 21.43 percent from the $70 it carried between 31 July and 21 September. Saturday costs 2.00 to 2.25 times the Friday price, and Sunday 1.50 times. The live column opened 17 days before the first gate day.
The day-use inventory the weekend carries
The venue publishes no day room, no hourly rate and no pool or gym pass for this event. Its four columns price gate admission and Paddock Plus passes.
The longest published window inside one day is Saturday's 17.5 hours, 6:30 a.m. to midnight. The three gate days total 27 hours.
Dayuse prices a day room in Indianapolis at an average of $87.43 and names Quality Inn & Suites Southport as its recommended hourly property. Engine puts the city average nightly rate at $128 across 1.2 million public rate observations from May 2024 to April 2026, with October at $134 and the city ranked 39th of 50 markets.
The group terms and the parking
New purchases of 20 or more tickets carry up to $40 in savings, a $5 retail discount, a personal group sales representative and group block seating. Reservation costs nothing, and cancellation runs until the final payment date. Full payment falls 30 days before the race, which puts the 2026 deadline at 10 September.
Parking is Lot 2 on Georgetown Road across from Gate 6, at $10 a day or $25 for three days.
