ITC Hotels takes a 30-key Storii contract in Madhya Pradesh

ITC Hotels signed a management contract on 5 October 2026 for a 30-key Storii by ITC Hotels retreat inside Sanjay Dubri National Park in Sidhi district, Madhya Pradesh. Sanjay Dubri is the fifth announced Storii wildlife retreat.

ITC Hotels Limited signed a management contract for Storii by ITC Hotels, Sanjay Dubri. The retreat carries 30 keys and sits inside Sanjay Dubri National Park in Sidhi district, Madhya Pradesh. Trade titles carried the announcement on 5 October 2026.

M/s Sal Tree Resorts Private Limited holds the owning side of the contract.

ITC Hotels takes on a thirty-key retreat at Sanjay Dubri

ITC will manage the property under its Storii soft brand. The company describes a boutique retreat built around its wilderness setting. ITC has published no opening date, no handover date and no construction start with the announcement.

Villas and suites in Sidhi district

The accommodation is described as expansive villas and suites, designed to sit inside the natural setting. The company has not published a villa count, a suite count, a room size or a site area. The 30 keys are the only inventory figure in the announcement.

Wildlife, nature and wellness shape the guest programme

The guest experience will centre on wildlife exploration, nature immersion, wellness and locally inspired activities, ITC says. Curated dining sits alongside recreational and intimate event spaces. No outlet name, no event-space area and no spa size is published.

Sal Tree Resorts and the owner-side reading

Pankaj Phulwani, Director of M/s Sal Tree Resorts Private Limited, gave the owner position. “We are delighted to collaborate with ITC Hotels to bring Storii by ITC Hotels to Sanjay Dubri,” he said. He described the aim as a distinctive wildlife retreat that lets guests meet the region's natural beauty at close range. The announcement names no development cost, no architect and no general contractor.

Anil Chadha on why wildlife destinations are moving

Anil Chadha, Managing Director of ITC Hotels Limited, tied the signing to demand. “India's diverse landscapes continue to open up new possibilities for experiential travel, with wildlife destinations emerging as sought-after retreats for discerning travellers,” he said. He called Sanjay Dubri a relatively unexplored wilderness with rich ecological heritage, and said the company would work on the destination's tourism potential.

Bandhavgarh, Kanha and four source markets

The retreat will sit near two established wildlife destinations, Bandhavgarh and Kanha. ITC also points to road-connectivity improvements from Prayagraj, Jabalpur, Rewa and Varanasi. The company says the park is known for dense sal forests and a thriving tiger population. The Sidhi district administration states the park was established in 1975, and the Madhya Pradesh forest department records the sal forests as a corridor between the Bandhavgarh and Palamau tiger reserves. A minority of tourism pages place the park across Sidhi and Singrauli districts, and ITC and the district administration both place it in Sidhi.

Where Storii sits in ITC's soft-brand line-up

Storii is the group's boutique brand, built around properties that carry the character of their location. ITC's own release of 16 December 2025 recorded four Storii management contracts in the wildlife space. They were Jawai with 15 rooms, Ranthambore at 40 keys, Dhari Gir with 60 rooms and Sasan Gir with 26 rooms, all listed as soon to open. Sanjay Dubri is the fifth announced Storii wildlife retreat, and no earlier Storii address in Madhya Pradesh appears in the announced set.

Madhya Pradesh: one hotel open, two more coming

ITC operates one property in Madhya Pradesh and has two more coming in Bhopal and Gwalior, Asian Hospitality reported on its own byline. The management contract extends a state presence ITC already runs, and it adds a leisure address to a portfolio weighted toward the two cities.

The dates and terms the contract leaves open

The announcement reports a signing. The retreat is not trading. ITC has published no month, no year and no completion window for Sanjay Dubri. No room rate, no per-key figure, no management-fee term and no performance expectation is stated.

Four other trade hosts carried the same syndicated release on 5 October 2026. The signing is distinct from the other Storii contracts in recent circulation, which carry different keys and different states: Assagao in North Goa at 51 keys, Havelock in the Andamans at 22 keys, and Mussoorie in Uttarakhand at 65 keys.
