A 78-room courtyard hotel opens in Kharagpur

Laa Montre Collection Hotels & Resorts began operations in Kharagpur, West Bengal on 24 September 2026. The company announced the opening from New Delhi on 15 October.

The hotel occupies 3,123.28 sq m on Kharagpur Bypass on NH, Khatranga, Kharagpur. That area comes to 33,619 sq ft.

The release names leisure travellers, families, couples and business travellers as target guests. It adds guests booking social occasions and celebrations.

Room categories and floor areas

The release counts 78 rooms across Deluxe, Premium Large, Premium Twin and Suite categories.

The property's rooms page gives a floor area for each category. Deluxe measures 20.48 sq m (220.49 sq ft). Premium measures 23.30 sq m (250.82 sq ft). Twin measures 23.26 sq m (250.35 sq ft). The Suite measures 43.71 sq m (470.49 sq ft).

Deluxe rooms face the farm. Premium categories overlook the courtyard. Suites add a bathtub and a sitting area.

Every room carries a writing table, wardrobe, sofa and hair dryer, plus a shaving mirror, minibar and in-room tea and coffee making facilities. The rooms page adds rain showers, smart televisions, in-room safes, coffee makers and bathrobes across the categories.

78 rooms and 5 suites on one page, 78 rooms on the other

The rooms page banner reads 78 rooms and 5 suites. The release gives one total of 78 across four categories. The rooms page holds both figures and does not say whether the five suites sit inside the 78.

The opening release publishes 78. A planner reading the site for group inventory takes 78 as the room count.

A terracotta Nataraj in the courtyard

The courtyard holds a handmade terracotta artwork of Lord Nataraj at almost 600 sq ft. The release calls it one of the largest installations of its kind and a cultural focal point for the hotel. It names no body that ranked the work.

The artwork anchors a courtyard that also takes the premium room views. Two of the four categories look onto it.

Pool, spa, sauna and fitness centre

Facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, a spa and wellness centre, a sauna, a fitness centre, a landscaped garden and a terrace.

The property's home page adds air conditioning, private balconies, a conference room, a travel desk and CCTV security to that list.

Services include complimentary Wi-Fi and parking, room service and 24-hour front desk assistance. Housekeeping and laundry complete the service list.

Four outlets and two banquets

BHOOMI is the multi-cuisine restaurant. TAP is the bar. LAAMON is the cafe. GLASS HOUSE is the lounge.

Breakfast runs continental, American and buffet. Two banquet spaces take events, and the dining and outdoor areas take informal gatherings.

The property sells corporate packages, weekend getaways, honeymoon offers and wedding packages on its own site. The conference room and the banquets support that mix.

Samrat Chakraborty on the property brief

Samrat Chakraborty is General Manager of the hotel. “Laa Montre has been envisioned as a destination where guests can find comfort, hospitality and leisure in one place,” he said. He cited the terracotta artwork, the room design, the dining mix and the wellness facilities in the same statement.

The ownership record

The release names no owner or developer for the hotel. It carries no project cost and no construction start or completion record.

The property sits with a group whose site lists nine Delhi airport-area hotels under a Hotels Near Delhi IGI Airport heading. Those entries carry their own addresses in Mahipalpur, New Delhi.

The same site's introduction places the group in the capital city of India and in West Bengal in one sentence. The Kharagpur property sits in West Bengal.
