Milan Posts Its Second-Highest September ADR and RevPAR

CoStar preliminary data puts Milan's September occupancy at 84.2 per cent, ADR at EUR310.04 and RevPAR at EUR261.17, with the Grand Prix night at EUR444.75 and Fashion Week peaking four nights later.

Milan posts its second-highest rate month

Milan's hotel industry recorded its second-highest average daily rate and revenue per available room in September 2026, according to CoStar preliminary market data. Hotel Online carries the release datelined Arlington, Virginia, 15 October 2026.

Occupancy reached 84.2 per cent, up 1.6 per cent year on year. Average daily rate reached EUR310.04, up 7.2 per cent. Revenue per available room reached EUR261.17, up 8.9 per cent.

The release names the Italian Grand Prix and Fashion Week as the demand drivers. It states the Winter Olympic Games month of February 2026 as the only month Milan posted higher average daily rate and revenue per available room, and places September's occupancy as the market's highest since October 2019.

5 September carries the month

All three measures peaked on Saturday, 5 September, the second night of the Italian Grand Prix. Occupancy reached 95.3 per cent. Average daily rate reached EUR444.75. Revenue per available room reached EUR424.07.

The month's second-highest occupancy, 94.7 per cent, fell on Tuesday, 15 September, the last day of MICAM Milano and the first day of SIMAC. Average daily rate reached EUR301.17 that night and revenue per available room EUR285.21.

Fashion Week's four nights

Fashion Week, which the release dates 22 to 26 September, pushed occupancy to 93.5 per cent on its second night. Average daily rate reached EUR396.59 on the fourth night and revenue per available room EUR358.30.

Milan's occupancy held above 70 per cent on all but two nights of the month.

What a revenue desk dates ahead

Both rate windows carried fixed dates. The month's highest rate night sat on the Grand Prix weekend, and its second-highest occupancy on a trade-fair overlap.

CoStar's hotel performance sample covers 95,000 properties and 12.2 million rooms worldwide. The September figures are preliminary.

The day-use line the release does not carry

The release states no hourly rate, no daytime window and no part-day revenue figure for Milan.

Dayuse published no Italian page on 16 October 2026. Its Italy path and its Milan city path both returned a page-not-found response, so the market has no day-use shelf on that platform to price against.
