One Interchange, One Day-Use Radius
More than 100,000 vehicles pass through the I-465/I-69 interchange on the northeast side of Indianapolis each day. INDOT reports that more than 90 percent of Clear Path 465 is complete, and the project expects construction to wrap up in late 2026.
A day-use sale prices hours. The buyer pays for a window inside the working day, and the drive to the property and back comes out of that window. The finish date therefore fixes how many hours a northeast-side property can offer.
Two Ramps Left
Two movements remain inside the interchange. The new ramp from eastbound I-465 to northbound I-69 and the new ramp from northbound Binford Boulevard to westbound I-465 are both on track for completion by late this year, in the project's own wording.
The Binford Boulevard ramp stays closed to traffic. The project expects it to reopen by the end of 2026 and states that several traffic pattern changes must happen first.
The other movements have opened. Crews opened the ramp and bridge from northbound I-465 to northbound I-69 in November 2025. The ramp from southbound I-69 to westbound I-465 was the first new bridge to open in the corridor. The ramp from southbound I-69 to southbound I-465 opened in January 2026, and it will increase from two lanes to three lanes with a 45 mph limit once construction is complete. The ramp from southbound I-69 to southbound Binford Boulevard opened in spring 2026 and doubles capacity from one lane to two.
Lanes and Speeds Now Posted
Eastbound I-465 runs in its final configuration. The posted limit between Keystone Avenue and 56th Street/Shadeland Avenue rose from 45 to 55 mph on or after Monday, August 17, 2026.
Westbound I-465 and I-69 through the interchange stay at 45 mph. Crews are moving barrier wall, installing pavement markings and building the remaining ramps. The project states the limit will rise to 65 mph on I-465 and I-69 once construction is complete.
On completion, I-465 will carry four mainline through lanes in each direction from the White River to 56th Street, with auxiliary lanes between interchanges. A new two-lane ramp provides the direct eastbound I-465 to northbound I-69 connection. A separate ramp serves eastbound I-465 traffic exiting to 82nd Street. Northbound Binford Boulevard splits into two left lanes for northbound I-69 and a right lane for westbound I-465 and 82nd Street.

Castleton Square Mall at 6020 East 82nd Street sits 0.84 miles (1.35 km) from the alignment, Courtyard Indianapolis Castleton at 8670 Allisonville Road 1.46 miles (2.35 km), Hilton Garden Inn Indianapolis Northeast/Fishers at 9785 North by Northeast Boulevard 2.23 miles (3.58 km), Marriott Indianapolis North at 3645 River Crossing Parkway 2.91 miles (4.69 km), Sheraton Indianapolis Hotel at Keystone Crossing at 8787 Commerce Crossing 3.10 miles (4.99 km), and Fort Harrison State Park Inn at 5830 North Post Road 3.69 miles (5.94 km).
The wider ring reaches Fishers at 4.05 miles (6.52 km), Noblesville at 9.98 miles (16.07 km) and Anderson at 24.05 miles (38.71 km). Monument Circle sits 10.96 miles (17.65 km) from the same point, and Indianapolis International Airport sits 18.34 miles (29.05 km).
Every figure is a straight-line measure. The project publishes no drive-time estimate for the corridor.
The Closure List This Week
The closure list for September 23 and 24 carries five items. I-465 southbound runs at a single lane between 75th Street and Fall Creek from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. I-465 northbound runs at a single lane between Fall Creek and 75th Street across the same window.
The ramp from 96th Street to southbound I-69 runs at one lane on the night of September 23. On the night of September 24, 82nd Street narrows to one lane in each direction under I-69, and the eastbound I-465 ramp to southbound Binford Boulevard closes.
The ramp from southbound I-69 to southbound Binford Boulevard stays at one lane from mid-September through mid-October for permanent barrier wall installation.
Southbound I-69 traffic moved into its final configuration on or after Monday, September 21, 2026. That shift restored access to westbound I-465 and southbound Binford Boulevard from the 82nd Street ramp.
What the Project Has Not Published
The project publishes no calendar date for the two remaining ramps past late 2026. It publishes no statement on whether the 65 mph limit starts at substantial completion or at final completion. It lists no lane-rental guidance and no event-night routing for properties inside the work zone.
The schedule for the intermittent 71st Street Trail closures is unpublished, and the project places the rebuilt portion of the Nickel Plate Trail in fall 2026 without a date.
No public project material covers room supply, occupancy or rate on the northeast side. A day-use case for these properties rests on the traffic count, the ramp status list and the opening dates above.
