The two-day calendar beside a Tuesday travel day
Current San Francisco 2026 runs Wednesday 4 November and Thursday 5 November at Moscone West, 800 Howard Street. The organiser’s San Francisco page opens the week on Tuesday 3 November with a line it labels Travel Day to San Francisco, followed by a Speaker Welcome Reception that evening. The venue’s live events feed carries the booking as record nid 873, start 2026-11-04, end 2026-11-05, location Moscone West, category Conv / Tradeshow.
The published clock puts a delegate who attends the Tuesday welcome reception in the city for three nights. A delegate who arrives for the Wednesday keynote needs two. Wednesday carries the Main Keynote, Breakout Sessions and Lightning Talks, the Expo Hall, Networking and the Current Party. Thursday carries Breakout Sessions and Lightning Talks, the Expo Hall and Networking.
The pass ladder sets the room clock
The organiser publishes its registration decision window on the San Francisco page. Early Bird General Attendee $499 expired August 15. Advance Individual Pass $699 carries a 10 October expiry date that has passed. Standard Individual Pass $899 expires October 29. Onsite Individual Pass $999 carries no expiry date.
A separate block on the same page carries a second reading of the pass. It states that Current passes are available at no cost this year, and it warns that capacity is limited.
The distances between the dates read as follows. Fifty-six days separate the first deadline from the second, and 19 separate the Advance close from the Standard close. Five days separate the Standard close from the registration transfer date of 3 November, which the organiser publishes on its Frequently Asked Questions page.
The room side runs on the same clock. The FAQ answers its hotel question with a line that places the block in the confirmation email, all within walking distance of the Moscone Center. No page read on the organiser’s site names a block property, a block rate, a cut-off date or a booking link.
Which night carries the compression
Wednesday 4 November carries the heavier published programme. It is the organiser’s only day carrying the Main Keynote and the Current Party, and it is the first of the two days carrying the Expo Hall.
It is also the one day two conventions occupy the complex. The venue feed dates INFORMS Annual Meeting 2026 to 1-4 November in Moscone South. The INFORMS organiser publishes a scale line of more than 6,000 members, students, prospective employers and employees, and academic and industry experts.
Tuesday 3 November sits inside both published windows. Thursday 5 November is Current’s closing night. No occupancy figure for any of the three nights is published. Neither the venue nor the organiser publishes a pick-up number, a room-night count or a block size for this edition.
The daytime hours the two days open
Both programme days run a daytime programme alongside the evening events. Wednesday carries the Main Keynote and the Expo Hall. Thursday carries the Expo Hall and Networking.
hotelSlots sells those hours. Its San Francisco directory read 562 hotels available on 16 October 2026, under a published band of up to 75 percent off nightly rates and $0 fees. The directory page headlined 1 Hotel San Francisco at 8 Mission Street, the Axiom Hotel at 28 Cyril Magnin Street and BEI San Francisco at 50 8th Street, and it paginated at 24 of the 562.
dayuse.com’s San Francisco page printed an average day-room price of $119.61 on 16 October 2026. The page carried 20 listed properties on that read. Its city cards include Hotel Zelos in Yerba Buena, the Axiom Hotel at Union Square and Hotel Zeppelin in Lower Nob Hill.
The city cards publish their own daytime windows. Hotel Zelos offers five, from 8:00 to 15:00 through to 15:00 to 23:00. The Mosser Hotel offers five, from 8:00 to 14:00 through to 14:00 to 22:00. The Axiom offers three, from 8:00 to 14:00 through to 15:00 to 21:00. An operator selling SoMa inventory prices those windows against a delegate list the organiser sizes at more than 3,000.
The citywide read behind the week
Engine’s San Francisco page gives the city a $165 average nightly rate across 3.1M public rate observations from May 2024 to April 2026. The November column reads $147, which the page prints 11 percent below the city’s own average. Engine defines its figures as par rates, the cheapest publicly available price at the time of each search.
CoStar’s release of 28 September 2026 puts San Francisco August occupancy at 79.3 percent, up 6.6 percent year over year, with ADR at US$216.77 and RevPAR at US$171.84.
AHLA and the California Hotel & Lodging Association released an Oxford Economics study on 25 June 2026. It puts hotels’ San Francisco economic impact above $12 billion for 2025 and citywide spending at about $900 per room night.
The rooms the venue counts
The Moscone Center’s own FAQ states that more than 20,000 hotel rooms sit within walking distance of the centre, and that the centre does not rent rooms on an individual basis. Its booking page states that more than two-thirds of the city’s 34,000 hotel rooms sit within walking distance. Three thousand attendees are 15.0 percent of the smaller count.
The venue’s booking page also states the purpose of the building in its own words. The Moscone Center serves primarily to fill hotel rooms in San Francisco and potentially the surrounding area.
