The deal
Ultrafabrics and Gabriel have signed a partnership that puts Gabriel's European sales organisation behind Ultrafabrics materials. Ultrafabrics announced it on 15 October 2026 under a New York dateline. Ultrafabrics will reach European design and manufacturing customers through Gabriel's sales organisation and its market relationships. Gabriel customers gain access to the Ultrafabrics range of coated fabrics and leather alternatives.
Gabriel is a Danish fabric house. Its product lines cover upholstery, panel and screen, embossed, laminated, ShapeKnit and acoustic components. Its showrooms sit in Broadway, Clerkenwell, Fulton and Paris's 1st arrondissement. Ultrafabrics makes coated fabrics and leather alternatives, and the release states that the materials are crafted in Japan.
What the Two Companies Said
Danielle Boecker, President and Co-founder of Ultrafabrics, said the partnership gives her company a route to the European architects, designers and manufacturers who specify its materials. She named craftsmanship, performance and long-term customer care as the values the two companies share.
Claus Møller, CCO of Gabriel, said the two companies share an ambition to make materials that perform over time. He said the combination gives Gabriel customers more freedom to find the right expression, performance and solution for a project. The deal adds a material dimension to Gabriel's portfolio.
The Specification Read
Ultrafabrics lists hospitality among the markets it serves, beside transportation, furniture, healthcare and fashion. The company publishes performance figures on its own site. Ultraleather carries a 16-week hydrolysis resistance rating, and its Promessa upholstery is bleach-solution cleanable for high-traffic use.
The cleaning and care guide sets out the regime. Ultrafabrics recommends mild soap and water first and an alcohol-based, hydrogen peroxide-based or bleach-based cleaner when a stain persists. Its Japanese materials are tested against a 1:5 bleach-to-water solution, and the guide recommends a 1:10 solution for routine disinfection. One clause matters at specification. Non-approved cleaners, disinfectants, conditioners or protectants may degrade material performance and could void the Ultrafabrics warranty.
Gabriel publishes environmental product declarations on its own site, and it runs a sustainability programme under the Gabriel Loop name.
What the Release Leaves Out
The announcement carries no price, no term length, no exclusivity clause and no completion date. It names no hotel, no group and no property project. It states no day rate and no minimum stay for any property.
