Brij Tara Opens in Ranthambore With Seventeen Units on Nine Acres

Indian Hotels Company announced the opening of Brij Tara in Ranthambore. Hospitality Biz India carried the announcement on 12 October 2026. The retreat joins Brij, the group's boutique leisure brand.

The announcement puts the property at 17 villas, cottages and residences across nine acres, and it describes IHCL as India's largest hospitality company. Those figures are IHCL's own, and no independent measurement of the 17 units or the nine acres is published.

The brand's own property page splits the 17 units. Five Luxury Villas with Private Gardens run at approximately 550 square feet each. Four Luxury Cottages with Heated Plunge Pools run at approximately 750 square feet. Eight Signature Suites run at approximately 720 square feet, four with private gardens and four with heated plunge pools.

Tara Mahal, Mehfil and Taalab

Three dining venues opened with the retreat. Tara Mahal is the all-day restaurant, and the announcement describes its cooking as a celebration of Rajasthan's culinary heritage through traditional techniques and regional recipes. Mehfil is the bar, drawn from the landscape and wildlife of Ranthambore. Taalab serves wood-fired flatbreads and charcoal-grilled specialties.

The announcement calls Taalab a poolside dining venue, and the brand's own page lists it as the pool bar.

Arama Spa and the Experience Programme

Arama Spa offers therapies the announcement describes as inspired by nature and focused on holistic well-being.

The guest programme reaches outside the property. The announcement lists wildlife safaris, birdwatching excursions, guided nature walks and a visit to the historic temple. It adds bush dinners, interactions with local artisans and stargazing. The brand's own page adds horse riding, a Chambal crocodile safari and river cruise at Pali Ghat, a birdwatching morning at Surwal Lake, the Trinetra Ganesha temple at Ranthambore Fort, chef-led cooking sessions, and dinner at the property's Machan.

The announcement names the temple visit without naming the temple. It publishes no rates for the experiences, no guiding arrangements and no national park permit detail. The brand's FAQ states that the team books jeep safaris subject to availability and government regulations.

Udit Kumar on the Setting

Udit Kumar, Co-Founder of Brij, tied the retreat to its location: "Brij focuses on creating intimate retreats that reflect the character of their surroundings and offer guests a more meaningful way to experience a destination. Brij Tara brings this philosophy to Ranthambore through a setting that is rooted in nature, local culture and the rhythms of the wilderness."

That is the only executive quote the announcement carries.

Brij Inside the IHCL Ecosystem

Brij's own site carries a Curated Taj Offers block, Tata Friends & Family Discounts and India With Taj, alongside its own festive offer at Brij Bageecha in Kukas, Jaipur.

The brand's roster carries Anayra, Atmanya, Bageecha, Casa Susegad, Lakshman Sagar, Paraiso, Pola, Sone Bagh, Tara, Villa and BrijRama Palace. Brij Tara's own page is live, and the brand's corporate contact sits in Durgapura, Jaipur.

What the Announcement Leaves Out

The announcement publishes no nightly rate, no build cost and no seating capacity for the three venues. It carries no spa treatment list and no count of safari vehicles.

The unit split across villas, cottages and suites sits on the brand's property page rather than in the announcement. The announcement counts 17 units and stops there.
