IHG Signs 50-Key Garner Hotel Jim Corbett for Q2 2027

IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed the 50-key Garner Hotel Jim Corbett in Ramnagar, Uttarakhand. Victorian Corporation owns the site and UHM India will manage it, with an opening set for the second quarter of 2027.

Fifty keys in Ramnagar for the second quarter of 2027

IHG Hotels & Resorts signed Garner Hotel Jim Corbett with United Hospitality Management India. The release is dated 25 September 2026 from India. It puts the hotel at 50 keys in Ramnagar, Uttarakhand, with an opening scheduled for the second quarter of 2027.

Victorian Corporation will own the property. United Hospitality Management (UHM) India will manage it. IHG places the signing inside its midscale portfolio and inside a strategy of expansion beyond the major metros.

Three acres at the gateway to Jim Corbett National Park

The hotel will sit on approximately three acres in Ramnagar. The release calls the town the gateway to Jim Corbett National Park. IHG states the site carries road connectivity to key cities across North India, and that the destination attracts visitors throughout the year as an established wildlife and leisure market.

The release publishes no room categories, no construction cost and no start-of-works date.

What Garner offers an owner

Garner is IHG's newest midscale conversion brand. The release dates the launch to 2023 and calls Garner the fastest-scaling brand in the company's history. The brand model leans on conversions, operational flexibility and an accessible price point.

The guest proposition names three items in the release: a convenient location, a sound night's sleep and a great breakfast. The brand also draws on IHG standards, enterprise systems and the IHG One Rewards programme, which the release counts at more than 160 million members.

The sixth signing

The release subheadline calls Garner Hotel Jim Corbett the brand's sixth signing in India. IHG's newsroom also carries the signing of Garner Hotel Ahmedabad Motera on 1 September 2026, with 40 keys and a 2029 opening. The sixth label stands as the publisher's own wording.

Fifty-three hotels and a 110-hotel pipeline in India

IHG states it operates 53 hotels across seven brands in India. The seven named in the release are Six Senses, InterContinental Hotels and Resorts, Vignette Collection, Crowne Plaza, voco Hotels, Holiday Inn Resort and Holiday Inn Express. The company states a pipeline of 110 hotels due to open in the next three to five years.

Garner sits outside that brand list, because the release counts the brand separately as a conversion brand.

Victorian Corporation owns and UHM India manages

Victorian Corporation owns the project. Parveen Saraswat, a director of Victorian Corporation, said the market holds growing demand for reliable accommodation, and that the company saw an opportunity to bring a trusted international brand to the region.

UHM India manages the hotel. The release describes United Hospitality Management as a hospitality asset development, operationalisation and management company. It states more than 30 years of experience and more than USD 1 billion in assets under management. The company lists partnerships with IHG, Marriott, Accor, Hyatt, Wyndham and Yotel, and says it entered the Indian market through the acquisition of Rosastays, which added 17 operational holiday homes.

The quotes

Sudeep Jain, managing director for South West Asia at IHG Hotels & Resorts, said Garner's momentum in India reflects a fit between the brand proposition and the needs of owners and travellers. Deepika Arora, managing director of United Hospitality Management-India, said the company is building a hospitality platform through partnerships and disciplined growth.

The company behind the brand

IHG's About block states the group has 21 hotel brands and more than one million rooms across 7,000 hotels in over 100 countries, with a development pipeline of a further 2,400 properties. IHG One Rewards carries over 160 million members.
