Two February Bookings, One 10-Day Window
The IU Natatorium's own events page lists the Horizon League Swimming & Diving Championships on 17-20 February 2027 and the IHSAA boys swimming and diving state finals on 26-27 February 2027. The page is stamped updated 9/2/2026.
The Horizon League block closes on Saturday 20 February and the boys final opens on Friday 26 February, six days later. Both sit inside one 10-day window from the Wednesday open to the Saturday close, with two Friday nights, 19 and 26 February, inside it.
The girls state finals run 12-13 February, four days before the Horizon League opens, so the venue carries three championship bookings across a 15-day span from 12 to 27 February.
The Session Clocks
The Horizon League's own 2026-27 championship table carries the dates, the venue and the host, and no session clock, so the daytime window across those four days is unpublished. The IHSAA has published no 2027 clock either.
The 2025-26 boys final ran Friday gates at 4:30 p.m. ET with swimming preliminaries at 6 p.m. ET, and Saturday gates at 6:45 a.m. ET with diving preliminaries and semifinals at 9 a.m. ET and the championship and consolation finals at 1 p.m. ET.
Those published clocks bracket the daytime product. A Friday session opens in the evening. A Saturday session opens in the morning and closes in the early afternoon.
The Day-Use Inventory
Dayuse publishes an Indianapolis page with an average day-room price of $87.43. Its recommended hourly property in the city is Quality Inn & Suites Southport.
hotelSlots counts 273 hotels available in Indianapolis on its directory page, and its body copy reads 123 hotels to choose from. The list renders 24 of the 273 cards, with Aloft at 136 East Market Street first.
The brand publishes two discount bands. Its home page states 30 to 75 percent less than nightly rates at the same hotels, and its day-use page states 40 to 60 percent less than overnight. The day-use page sells by the hour or by the block across morning, afternoon and full-day slots, with pool, gym, Wi-Fi and shower access as inclusions, and it states no booking fees and no commission markup.
The Overnight Comparator
Engine publishes a citywide Indianapolis average of $128 per night across 1.2M public rate observations from May 2024 to April 2026. February averages $107, 16 percent below the citywide figure, and the page calls February the year's cheapest month. May averages $158, 23 percent above it. Each point is a par rate, the cheapest publicly available price at the time of each search, observed 10 to 180 days before check-in.
The same page puts rates swinging 32 percent across the year, so an operator pricing a February day room sets it against the month's own $107 basis.
The Booking Windows Before Each
The IHSAA's 2026-27 Seasons at a Glance document puts the boys tourney entry list deadline on 11 February 2027, 15 days before the first session and 7 days before the first sectional. The girls deadline is 28 January 2027, also 15 days before its own first session. Both dates sit inside Engine's 10-to-180-day observation range.
What The Two Bookings Leave Open
Neither the IHSAA nor the Horizon League publishes a hotel rate, a housing block, a booking cut-off or an attendance forecast for either booking. The venue's calendar carries the two bookings' dates and names, and no clock between them.
The daytime hours are the product a February day room has to cover, and the published clocks and the two discount bands are the terms on the table.
