Ignite publishes 20,000 in-person and 200,000 digital seats

Microsoft publishes 20K+ in-person attendees, 200K+ digital attendees, 2,100+ speakers and 830+ sessions for Ignite at Moscone Center, with the four-property hotel block closing on 16 October.

The organiser's own scale block

Microsoft publishes its scale figures for Ignite on the event home page. The block headed "Microsoft Ignite by the numbers" carries four entries: 20K+ in-person attendees, 200K+ digital attendees, 2,100+ speakers and 830+ sessions.

The block carries no year label. Read the four entries as the organiser's published scale lines.

The event window is fixed. Microsoft Ignite runs 17-20 November 2026 at Moscone Center in San Francisco. The digital event runs 17-19 November. An optional pre-day runs on 16 November.

Two clocks and a third on the same date

The hotel clock and the registration clock fall on separate dates, and the organiser's FAQ carries both.

"Hotel reservations secured through the Microsoft Ignite registration page must be booked by 3:00 PM Pacific Time on Friday, October 16, 2026. Availability is limited, so early booking is recommended."

"All in-person registrations must be completed by 5:00 PM Pacific Time on Friday, November 13, 2026."

The block clock sits 28 days and 2 hours ahead of the registration close. The registration close sits four calendar days before the opening day.

A third clock shares 16 October. Cancellation requests must arrive by 11:59 PM Pacific on that Friday. Conference and Hub-only passes cancelled on or before that date qualify for a refund minus a $200 processing fee. The two 16 October clocks sit 8 hours 59 minutes apart.

The block holds four properties

The organiser answers its own hotel-block question with four names: Canopy by Hilton San Francisco SoMa, Hyatt Regency San Francisco Downtown SoMa, Palace Hotel, and San Francisco Marriott Marquis.

The same answer ties block access to the Advantage pass and adds two limits: "Hotel booking access is limited to these four properties" and "Reservations are available while inventory lasts and are subject to availability."

A separate answer gives the route: "Log in to your registration to submit a request for a room at your preferred hotel." The room request sits inside the registration flow.

The block publishes no nightly rate, no room count and no property-level cut-off for any of the four.

The absorption signals on the record

No pickup figure is published. No room-night count is published. No sell-out state is published.

Three published signals govern the fill rate: the cut-off date, the limited-availability language and the request route inside registration.

The Advantage pass name appears in that one answer. The passes tab lists the Conference pass at $2,325, the Hub-only pass at $1,625 on a 17-19 November window, and a free Digital pass.

The city's own room counts

Moscone Center publishes its own inventory lines. One reads "There are over 20,000 hotel rooms within walking distance of The Moscone Center." Another reads "More than two-thirds of the city's 34,000 hotel rooms are within walking distance of The Moscone Center." Two-thirds of 34,000 rooms is 22,666.7 rooms.

The venue states its purpose in a published line: "The Moscone Center serves primarily to fill hotel rooms in San Francisco and potentially the surrounding area."

The venue's own event feed carries the booking record. Record 852 reads "Microsoft Ignite 2026" for 17-20 November 2026 in "Moscone North, South, and West". Record 809 reads "Microsoft Ignite 2025" for 18-21 November 2025 in the same three buildings.

The day-use shelf in the same city

The published hotel answer covers overnight reservations at four properties on the Advantage pass.

A day-use shelf exists in San Francisco for the same week. The hotelSlots directory for the city lists 562 hotels available and shows 24 of them. Its header reads "103,857+ Hotels", "46 States", "Up to 75% Off Nightly Rates" and "$0 Fees".

Dayuse.com lists 20 San Francisco properties on 16 October 2026 and prints "an average price of $119.61 for a day room in San Francisco". Its published windows on that page run from 8:00-14:00 to 14:00-22:00.

What the demand signal does not carry

Microsoft publishes no 2026 attendance forecast. The venue publishes no attendance figure for the event. The block publishes no rate, no room count and no property-level cut-off.

The scale block, the two clocks and the campus commitment are the demand signal as it stands on 16 October 2026. The block clock runs out at 3:00 PM Pacific on 16 October. The registration clock runs out at 5:00 PM Pacific on 13 November.
