A Sold-Out Ladder With Eight Rungs
Portola Music Festival held its fifth edition on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September 2026 at Pier 80 in San Francisco. The organiser's past-lineups page lists 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026. Every pass tier on the pass page reads Sold Out.
The ladder carried eight rungs. Two-day general admission started at $399.95. Saturday general admission started at $269.95. Sunday general admission started at $299.50. Two-day VIP started at $779.50. Both single-day VIP tiers started at $459.95. The two-day general admission four-pack was priced per pass at $399.95, and the two-day VIP four-pack was priced per pass at $699.95.
The pass page states Upfront Pricing with no added fees. Quantities were limited while supplies last. The page states there is no difference in tiers other than price. The order page set an eight-pass limit per household, and all sales were final. The event ran 21-plus, and a physical government-issued photo ID was required at entry.
The Day Ran Ten Hours, Twice
The FAQ fixed the day. Venue doors opened at 1 pm PT each day, and the curfew fell at 11 pm PT. That window is ten hours long on each of two days, twenty hours in total.
A ten-hour block with a published in and a published out is the shape a day-use booking takes. The box office at 900 Marin St ran from 11 am to 9 pm on both Saturday and Sunday. Its opening sat two hours before the gate. Its close sat two hours before the curfew.
A third window sat on the Friday. The 5th Birthday Despacio Extravaganza ran on Friday 25 September with doors at 5 pm and a close at 11 pm, and the organiser marks it Sold Out. Its entrance is at 401 Cesar Chavez St, and the organiser ran no BART shuttle and published no designated rideshare zone for it.
The Daytime Inventory The City Publishes
The Dayuse San Francisco page lists day rooms across the city with its own slot labels. Those labels run from 8 am to 2 pm, 10 am to 4 pm, 9 am to 4 pm and 9 am to 5 pm across the morning and mid-afternoon. They also run from 3 pm to 11 pm and 5 pm to 10 pm in a later band. The festival's own 1 pm to 11 pm window sat in that later band.
What Two Full Nights Price At
Engine publishes a citywide rate basis. Its San Francisco page gives $165 a night across 3.1 million public rate observations from May 2024 to April 2026. The page defines a par rate as the cheapest public price at the time of each search.
September is one of the two monthly peaks on that page. September reads $192 a night, sixteen percent above the city figure, against March at $197 and December at $129. The page states that 35 percent separates the cheapest month from the priciest.
Two nights price at $330 on the city figure of $165. Two nights price at $384 on the September line of $192. The gap between those two is $54.
Both figures are citywide monthly averages over a stated observation window. No property rate, no room block and no booking cut-off for the festival nights appears on any page read.
The Supply Side Publishes A Roster
The Hotel Council of San Francisco states that its membership roster includes over 250 hotels. That count is the association's own membership figure. The organiser published no attendance figure and no capacity figure, and the FAQ states that some areas carried limited capacities.
