Work Truck Week 2027: Selling Day Rooms Into The March Window

Work Truck Week 2027 runs March 9-12 at the Indiana Convention Center. The exhibit hall holds three days, and the venue's 7,100 downtown rooms sit inside a day-use slot map built for a daytime floor.

The March 9-12 Window At The Indiana Convention Center

NTEA dates Work Truck Week 2027 to March 9-12, 2027 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. The Work Truck Show exhibit hall runs three days, March 10-12. The Future Truck Summit opens the week on March 9 at the JW Marriott Indianapolis, one day before the exhibit hall opens.

A three-day floor at a downtown convention center pulls daytime demand with it. Attendees who drive in, vendors who work the aisle and crews between shifts need a room for the day.

The Day-Use Slot Map

Day-use inventory sells in fixed slots. hotelSlots publishes four: morning (6AM-12PM), afternoon (12PM-6PM), evening (6PM-12AM) and overnight (12AM-6AM). A day-use room runs six to eight hours and carries the room's own amenities: a bed, a desk, Wi-Fi, and often the fitness center or the pool.

The show day maps onto the first two bands. An afternoon slot covers a 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. floor block. A morning slot covers an early arrival before the doors open.

The Downtown Inventory Behind The Show

The venue's own footer carries 7,100 hotel rooms in downtown Indianapolis and 4,700 rooms connected to the Convention Center by skywalk. Visit Indy publishes its own set: 12 hotels and 5,200 rooms connected, with more than 10,000 rooms within walking distance.

The connected-hotels page carries the roster behind that line. The JW Marriott Indianapolis holds 1,005 rooms. The Signia by Hilton Indianapolis holds 803. Indy Marriott holds 650 rooms, The Westin Indianapolis 575, the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis 499, Embassy Suites 360, Crowne Plaza Union Station 273, the Conrad 247 and Le Méridien 100. The Courtyard, SpringHill Suites and Fairfield Inn & Suites hold 621 rooms combined.

Each property sits inside the day-use slot map. A desk-day in a connected hotel removes the drive and the downtown parking cost.

The Day-Room Price Read

Dayuse.com publishes an average of $87.43 for a day room in Indianapolis. Engine publishes a citywide overnight average of $128 per night across 1.2M public rate observations from May 2024 to April 2026. Its March figure is $122, five percent below the city average. February reads $107 and May $158.

hotelSlots publishes the day-use discount in two bands. Its home page reads 30-75 percent off nightly rates. Its day-use page reads 40-60 percent less than overnight.

The Demand Base For The Window

Work Truck Week 2026 drew a verified 15,646 commercial vehicle industry professionals from 29 countries and all 50 U.S. states, per NTEA's recap release of March 23, 2026. The release puts the exhibiting field at 547 companies in a sold-out exhibit hall and New Exhibitor Pavilion. The venue's record carries a forecast attendance of 14,000 for 2027.

What The Window Does Not Publish

NTEA has published no 2027 housing block, group rate or booking cut-off. Registration and housing open in the fall, and the event site carries a notification sign-up at worktruckweek.com/wtw27signup for that opening.

Four states restrict day-use bookings under state travel laws: Florida, Hawaii, Iowa and Washington. Indiana is not among them.

March is the month to price. The window's demand base, the venue's room count and the slot clock are all published. The day-use rate is the operator's call.
