McCourt Partners holds an equity stake in the 41-story tower planned at 530 Sansome Street and joined Related California as co-developer in April 2026. The hotel inside it carries about 200 rooms on floors four through 15, inside 230,100 square feet.
Related California's preliminary application puts a start as early as 2027, with 3.20 years of work to a 2030 completion. No groundbreaking has been announced. The 200 rooms sit in the pipeline.
The day-use shelf in San Francisco
The hotelSlots San Francisco directory lists 562 hotels available, with its card list reading 24 of 562, on a read dated 24 September 2026. 1 Hotel San Francisco at 8 Mission Street heads the first page as a five-star card. The rest of the page runs Union Square, airport and Peninsula addresses.
The platform sells four slot windows. Morning runs 6 a.m. to noon, afternoon noon to 6 p.m., evening 6 p.m. to midnight, and overnight midnight to 6 a.m. It publishes rates 30 to 75 percent below the nightly rate, no booking fee and no commission markup. The guest pays the hotel for the time slot.
Its network page counts 103,857 hotels across 46 states. It states that Florida, Hawaii, Iowa and Washington restrict day-use bookings under state travel law.
The rate line the daytime room prices against
Engine's San Francisco series averages $165 a night across 3.1 million public rate observations from May 2024 to April 2026. Those are par rates, the cheapest publicly available price at the time of each search.
March is the peak month at $197, 19 percent above the average. December is the low at $129, 22 percent below it. The swing across the year runs to 35 percent. January and February both sit at $166, a dollar above the average.
San Francisco ranks 18 of 50 major markets in the same dataset, 11 percent above the $148 median.
What the delivery date leaves open
A 2030 completion estimate is not inventory. The 562 listed properties hold the daytime rooms a seller can price this week, and Engine's monthly table sets the reference line.
