SF Restaurant Week 2026: Ten Dining Days and the Day-Use Shelf

Fall SF Restaurant Week runs 16-25 October across 179 restaurants. The day-use shelf on the same date carried 20 cards from $85 to $159 against a $176 October average.

A ten-day dining window runs 16-25 October

Fall SF Restaurant Week opens on Friday 16 October 2026 and closes on Sunday 25 October 2026. The Golden Gate Restaurant Association publishes that window on its about page and repeats it in its restaurant FAQ. Participating kitchens offer prix-fixe menus inside the window at one or more published price points.

Against a rate calendar the window carries four weekend nights, 16, 17, 23 and 24 October, and six Sunday-to-Thursday nights, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 and 25 October.

The organiser publishes the diner pattern

The association's kitchen page carries the demand assumption in its own wording: "Data shows that many diners make their SF Restaurant Week reservations for the weekends." The same page asks operators to hold one menu across the ten days, and it tells a kitchen that skips the weekend menu to notify every weekend reservation holder.

The programme publishes no covers, no check average and no reservation volume, so the weekend pull carries no published figure.

The roster read, 14 October 2026

The live participating-restaurants page carried 179 records on a 14 October read. Ninety-eight carry at least one brunch or lunch menu and 159 carry at least one dinner menu. Seventy-eight carry both, 20 carry a day-side menu alone and 81 carry dinner alone.

The 81 dinner-only records hold the evening surface across all ten days. Booking controls sit on 151 of the 179 records, of which 124 resolve to OpenTable and six to Resy.

What the day-use shelf holds

dayuse.com's San Francisco page carried 20 cards on the same 14 October read. Nine sit inside the city and eleven sit across the wider metro, from San Bruno and Millbrae to Oakland, Emeryville, Berkeley and Alameda.

The lowest offer on that page ran $85 to $159 against comparative prices of $119 to $399 and discounts of 16 to 70 percent. Six cards include pool access. Check-in windows open between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, and check-out runs from noon to 11:00 PM.

Against the city's October shelf the day-use floor sits 10 to 52 percent below it. The dining programme publishes nothing about day-side inventory on any of its pages.

The rate basis

Engine's San Francisco page puts the market average at $165 a night across 3.1 million public rate observations from May 2024 to April 2026, with October at $176, seven percent above that average. Engine defines the figures as par rates, the cheapest public price at the moment of each search.

What the window asks of a midweek forecast

Two published facts anchor the read. The organiser's own diner line puts the pull on the weekends. The roster's own shape puts 81 of 179 records into the dinner-only column across ten consecutive days that hold six Sunday-to-Thursday nights.

The roster's geographic spread is the other published input. It carries 42 neighbourhood labels, five of which sit outside San Francisco: Burlingame, Concord, Cupertino, San Jose and Sausalito, on six records. Inside the city, four labels carry 12 or more records: Mission 15, Financial District 13, Union Square 12 and Richmond 12.
