Amadeus states the demand its data describes
Jill Boegel, senior vice president of commercial, Americas, hospitality at Amadeus, said on-trip wellness and fitness is a driving force of travel. She said marathons create short, precise windows of demand, and that data and targeted advertising let hotels connect with wellness-minded travellers.
Chris Heywood, senior vice president of public relations and chief communications officer at Brand USA, said sport can be unifying. He said he hopes the trend deepens with attendees taking extra days around the race weekend.
Where the figures come from
Amadeus published the release on 25 September 2026. The air and market analysis comes from Amadeus Travel Intelligence. The hotel occupancy and rate figures come from Amadeus Demand360.
Amadeus states these figures as its own proprietary data. The release publishes no day-use rate, no hourly rate and no minimum stay for either city, so the daytime price shelf sits in the platform reads above.
