The deal
dormakaba signed a binding agreement to acquire Alliants Limited on 15 September 2026. The parties did not disclose the financial terms. dormakaba expects the transaction to close after regulatory approval, and it expects that approval within this year.
Alliants supplies guest experience software and managed services to hotels. Its platform sits behind more than 100,000 hotel rooms, according to the buyer. The company was founded in 2009 in Southampton, United Kingdom. It employs more than 100 people and operates globally.
The modules a daytime sale needs
The dormakaba release lists concierge, contactless check-in, mobile key, payments, messaging and agentic AI among the Alliants capabilities. Alliants' own product pages list a core platform, messaging, Allin AI, concierge, contactless check-in, digital keys, payments, a guest app, automations and flows, insights, and kiosks.
Three of those modules carry a day-use booking. A daytime guest arrives inside a short window and leaves inside the same window. Contactless check-in moves the arrival off the front desk. The payments module takes the charge before the guest reaches the room. Digital keys put the credential on the guest's own phone.
Alliants delivers room keys to Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. The release states that the technology was recognised by TIME magazine as one of the best inventions of 2025. Hotel Technology News reports that the wallet credential opens supported doors without a brand app download.
What the combined stack changes
dormakaba states that both companies will remain interoperable with other providers across the tech stack. A property keeps its existing lock manufacturer, property-management system and payment provider under that commitment.
A daytime window leaves no margin for a desk transaction. The release describes one supplier holding room access, the wallet credential, check-in, messaging and payments. That combination takes the key handover out of the arrival.
The release carries no per-room cost, no packaging plan and no integration timetable. An operator can read the capability set today and price the change after the two companies publish those terms.
What came before the deal
dormakaba completed the acquisition of any2any GmbH on 3 March 2026. any2any supplies mobile wallet credentials for access systems. dormakaba agreed to acquire the operating business of Vintech Systems on 3 February 2026, and that deal took effect in early May. Vintech is an Australian hospitality access provider. dormakaba became a strategic investor in SwiftConnect Inc. on 23 February 2026. SwiftConnect connects identity providers and IT systems to existing access systems.
Hotel Technology News reports that dormakaba's 2025/26 annual report lists six completed bolt-on acquisitions and two venture investments. Those three deals carry wallet credentials, regional hospitality service capability and identity-linked access software. Alliants brings the guest-facing modules: messaging, contactless check-in, payments, a guest app and kiosks.
What stays undisclosed
The purchase price, the multiple and Alliants' revenue stay undisclosed. The two parties agreed not to release further details. The release names no closing date beyond regulatory approval this year and no management or headcount plan for Alliants after close.
