USATF Registration Fee Steps to $435 on November 4

USA Track & Field raises Annual Meeting registration from $385 to $435 at 3 a.m. ET on November 4, and the hotel block opens only after a delegate registers.

One date divides the registration window

USA Track & Field opened registration for the Portland Annual Meeting on September 17 at 10:00 a.m. ET. The fee holds at $385 per person until November 4 at 2:59 a.m. ET. From 3:00 a.m. ET that morning the fee is $435 per person.

The step is $50 a head, or 12.99 percent. It lands at midnight Pacific.

The lower price covers 48 days. The full price covers the 29 days before the Opening Session on Thursday, December 3. Registration runs 79 days in total.

The fee sits in front of the room

A delegate reaches the hotel block by one route. USATF sends the booking link in the confirmation email, and the FAQ cancels any room booked inside the block by someone who has not registered for the meeting.

The order is fixed: register, then book. A delegate who registers before November 4 can book a block room that day. A delegate who registers after it reaches the same rooms at $50 more.

Hyatt Regency Portland at the Convention Center and DoubleTree by Hilton Portland carry the block.

Registration stays open into the meeting

Online registration shuts on Saturday, December 5 at 3:00 p.m. ET, which is noon Pacific. The meeting opens on December 3, and the Closing Session runs on December 6 at 8:00 a.m.

Registration therefore stays open through two full days of the meeting and shuts at noon Pacific on the third. The close lands 17 hours before the Closing Session.

USATF allows no in-person registration. A delegate who decides on the Saturday morning completes the form online, receives the confirmation and books a room from it. That delegate needs the night of December 5, the last room night of the programme.

The block has to hold to the last night

USATF publishes no room count, rate or release term for either block. No delegate count appears on the event page or the FAQ, and neither does an attendance forecast.

Three dates that shape the curve

September 17 opens the cheap window. November 4 closes it. December 5 closes registration.

The 29 days between November 4 and December 3 carry full-price registration with the block open. A delegate who registers inside that stretch pays $435 and reaches the same two properties.

Take 100 registrations crossing November 4. The step adds $5,000 to the meeting's registration take and changes no room night.

A property that wants the block filled early has 48 days of lower-fee registration to work with. The $50 step is the only published cost change inside that window.

The delegate spend around the step

The registration fee is one line of the delegate's outlay. The Officials Hall of Fame Banquet runs on Friday, December 4 at 6:00 p.m. with tickets at $80 through registration. Night of Legends runs on Saturday, December 5 at 6:00 p.m. with tickets at $50.

Both tickets sit behind the same registration. A delegate who attends both evenings adds $130 to the $435 fee.

The programme needs four room nights: December 2, 3, 4 and 5. Credentials are collected at the Convention Center from the Wednesday afternoon, and the Closing Session starts at 8:00 a.m. on the Sunday.

The read for the desk

Treat November 4 as the date that opens the last 29 days of full-price registration. Ask a caller who mentions the Annual Meeting which side of that date they registered on.

The meeting runs 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. across December 3 to 6, so delegate daytime presence sits inside business hours. Watch the week of December 1: registration stays open through it, the block stays live, and the last room night is December 5.
