285 keys across two UAE signings
IHG Hotels & Resorts is bringing Garner Hotels to the Middle East through the signing of two hotels in the United Arab Emirates with Nooa Holdings, the company said in a release dated 29 September 2026. Garner Hotel Dubai Al Jaddaf and Garner Hotel Ras Al Khaimah Downtown are expected to open in 2026 and will add a combined 285 keys to IHG's portfolio in the country.
The 204-key Ras Al Khaimah property
Garner Hotel Ras Al Khaimah Downtown will carry 204 keys. The release describes it as a converted hotel located by the creek in Al Nakheel, close to Al Naeem Mall and approximately 15 minutes from Ras Al Khaimah International Airport. IHG positions it for business and leisure travellers.
The 81-key hotel near Al Jaddaf Waterfront
Garner Hotel Dubai Al Jaddaf will carry 81 keys near Al Jaddaf Waterfront, between Downtown Dubai and Dubai International Airport. The release states the hotel will feature a rooftop pool overlooking Dubai Creek and sit within reach of the city's business, leisure and cultural districts.
What Garner offers
Garner is IHG's conversion brand, described in the release as its fastest-scaling global brand. The brand sells quality stays at an affordable price point on a conversion-friendly model, and gives owners access to IHG's quality standards, enterprise systems and the IHG One Rewards platform.
The release names three things the brand promises travellers: a convenient location, a sound night's sleep and a great breakfast.
Mattar on the midscale offer
Haitham Mattar, IHG managing director for India, Middle East and Africa, said bringing Garner to the Middle East is a step in strengthening IHG's midscale offer in the region. He said the UAE is a natural launch market for the brand, citing demand for high-quality stays at an accessible price point and owners looking for a model backed by IHG's systems and platforms.
Basnet on the partnership
Amit Basnet, founder and chief executive of Nooa Holdings, said Nooa is pleased to partner with IHG through the two hotels. He said Garner's flexible model and focus on high-quality, affordable stays suit both destinations, and that Nooa looks forward to opening both hotels and exploring further opportunities with IHG.
The regional debut and the UAE portfolio
IHG describes the signings as the regional debut of Garner Hotels in the Middle East. Garner sits in the Essentials segment of IHG's brand family, and IHG's own reporting puts the brand at 112 open hotels worldwide at 30 June 2026.
IHG says it has 39 hotels operating across eight brands in the UAE, a list that includes InterContinental, Vignette Collection, Hotel Indigo, Crowne Plaza, voco Hotels, Holiday Inn Resort, Holiday Inn Express and Staybridge Suites. The company reports a UAE pipeline of 110 hotels due to open in the next three to five years, and a family of 21 hotel brands with more than 160 million IHG One Rewards members.
