The Signal
The 45th Annual J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference is set for January 11-14, 2027 in San Francisco, California. The bank describes it as the largest and most informative healthcare investment symposium in the industry. The event is by invitation only and invitations are not transferable.
The page names four groups the conference connects: global industry leaders, emerging fast-growth companies, innovative technology creators and members of the investment community. It carries no attendance figure. A commercial team reading this signal has the dates, the city and that audience description.
The Committed Nights
January 11, 2027 is a Monday and January 14 is a Thursday. A delegate who arrives for the Monday opening and checks out on Friday, January 15 commits four nights. The bank's events index carries January 12-15, 2026 for the 44th edition and January 13-16, 2025 for the 43rd, read from a Wayback capture of the index taken on January 12, 2026. The last two opening Mondays sit 364 days apart.
Four nights is the whole published commitment. The bank publishes no room-night total, no pick-up figure and no sell-out state for the week.
The Citywide Pull
AHLA and CHLA published an Oxford Economics study on June 25, 2026. It measures hotels' economic impact in San Francisco at more than $12 billion in 2025 and citywide spending at about $900 per hotel room night per visitor. Four nights per delegate comes to about $3,600 of citywide spending on that basis.
The same release counts nearly 50,000 jobs in the city's hotel industry, about 16,000 direct and 34,000 ancillary, more than $2 billion in hotel taxes for 2025, and $8 billion of guest spending at hotels and local businesses. It records ADRs at 92 percent of 2019 levels and a 98 percent forecast for 2026.
Where January Prices
Engine's San Francisco ladder puts the January average at $166 a night against a $165 city average across 3.1 million observations from May 2024 to April 2026. Engine defines its figures as par rates, the cheapest publicly available price at the time of each search, and draws them from searches made 10 to 180 days before check-in.
Engine's March average is $197, 19 percent above the city average. Its December average is $129, 22 percent below. Engine puts 35 percent between the cheapest month and the priciest. Four nights at the January average comes to $664 on that public-rate basis.
The Exposure in a Part-Filled House
A property holding rooms for this week carries the difference between four committed nights per delegate and the share of the house it sets aside for the conference. The bank's page carries no block and no rate, so the organiser side of that calculation is closed.
The bank publishes no cut-off date for the week. There is no published date at which unbooked rooms return to open inventory. A commercial team sizing the remainder of the house has Engine's January par rate and the Oxford Economics per-room-night figure.
The Booking Route
The conference page carries one route for an invitation. It reads: "Contact your J.P. Morgan representative for more information." The page carries no booking link, no housing system, no block and no rate.
The bank also warns about rates sold outside its own site. Its page reads: "Please note there are sites offering hotel rates and access to the conference that are not affiliated with J.P. Morgan." A commercial team that sees a rate for that week on another site can check it against that line.
The Surrounding Week
Moscone Center's live feed holds 174 records and none covers January 11-14, 2027. The feed's next January 2027 records are the Specialty Food Association Winter FancyFaire 2027 on January 17-19 and the American Society of Clinical Oncology GI Cancers Symposium 2027 on January 21-23. Both sit after the conference window closes. The conference page names no venue, and the feed is not evidence of where the week is held.
The Signal to Carry
Four nights, one city, one month, every year, an invitation-only list and no published block. A commercial team can price the week against Engine's January figure and size the citywide effect against the Oxford Economics per-room-night line.
