One Saturday, One Window
Lit Crawl SF 2026 runs Saturday 24 October in the Mission District. Litquake produces the night, and the crawl closes the annual Litquake Festival.
The published phase window runs 5:00pm to 9:00pm. The afterparty runs 9:00pm to 11:00pm. First start to last close is six hours, and four of them sit inside the phase window.
The organiser publishes the drawing figure on the crawl page. It reads 250+ authors and close to 5,000 fans.
Three Arrival Waves Inside Four Hours
The published programme splits the evening into three starts. Phase 1 opens 5:00pm, Phase 2 opens 6:30pm and Phase 3 opens 8:00pm. Each start sits 90 minutes after the previous one, and each phase window runs one hour.
The listing carries 20 sessions in the 5:00pm slot, 17 in the 6:30pm slot and 14 in the 8:00pm slot. The crawl total is 51 sessions across 21 phase venues, and the afterparty is entry 52 at 9:00pm.
Against the organiser's 5,000 figure, 21 phase venues work out to 238 fans per venue. That is arithmetic on the organiser's own count and the published venue list. The organiser publishes no per-venue headcount and no split across the three phases.
The Count Has No Booking Record Behind It
Admission charges nothing. The crawl page calls the night free. The schedule host carries the entry terms: no RSVPs are necessary, just show up, and seating and space are first come, first serve.
A demand read on this record holds one forecast figure. No page converts it into a booked headcount, a per-venue split or a walk-up rate.
The One Priced Item
The afterparty takes $10 at the door, and the venue map prints NOTAFLOF beside the price. Every other entry on the published record is free.
What the Property Side Publishes
The word hotel returns zero hits on the crawl page, the schedule host, the venue map, the venue list, the two audience filter pages, the volunteer page and the curator's site. Lodging and stay return zero on the same documents.
No page names a partner property for the 24 October 2026 date. None publishes a room block, a rate, a cut-off date or a group code. The map offers one transport line. It reads: Lit Crawl is BARTable.
The Read for Day-Use Inventory
A day-use operator working this date holds four published figures: a 5:00pm phase open, a 9:00pm phase close, an 11:00pm afterparty close and the organiser's 5,000-fan forecast.
Three started waves split the arrivals across the window. The phase window closes at 9:00pm. The afterparty runs to 11:00pm.
No published term on this track names a property, a rate or a booking window for the date.
