Two UK hotel additions landed in the second week of September. Hilton signed the London Bridge Hotel to Tapestry Collection by Hilton on September 8, 2026 under a franchise agreement with Gama Holdings. Radisson Blu Medlock Hotel, Manchester opened on September 7, 2026 beside the Etihad Stadium and the Co-op Live arena. The two moves put 554 rooms into two event and transit districts, and one of them carries rooms that change product by the day.
The Manchester room mix
The Medlock holds 401 rooms, the first completed element of Medlock Square on the Etihad Campus. The room mix includes pitch-view rooms that convert into hospitality suites on matchdays. One room carries two prices: an overnight rate on most dates and a matchday suite rate for the hours around a fixture. The hotel also carries a 1,645 sq ft penthouse with a private terrace.
The Etihad Campus holds the 53,000-capacity Etihad Stadium, the 7,000-capacity Joie Stadium and the City Football Academy. Medlock Square is planned to carry restaurants, bars and cafés, a Manchester City museum experience, a stadium roof walk and zip-wire, and a 3,000-capacity covered events space.
The London Bridge signing
Hilton's signing adds 153 rooms at 8–18 London Bridge Street, beside London Bridge Station, for an opening in early 2028. The transformation carries a budget of more than GBP 12 million. The property carries garden vault rooms in the room count, and a redesigned ground floor with food and beverage outlets operated by Individual Restaurants.
Tapestry Collection enters the UK capital with this signing, and Hilton counts nine brands in London. The brand reaches six hotels across the UK and Ireland by 2028 on Hilton's own schedule. Four properties trade now: The Samuel Ryder Hotel St Albans, Elmbank York, The Marcus Portrush and Dover Marina Hotel & Spa. Signings in Plymouth and Cork open in 2027.
