CASCADA's Bend Thermal Springs Site Opens in 2028 Without a Day Rate

CASCADA's Portland thermal springs day pass starts at $100 for ages 21 and over, with spa treatments from $180. CASCADA Bend plans 68 rooms and eight pools for 2028, with no day-pass price and no booking channel published.

The day pass CASCADA sells today

CASCADA prices its Portland thermal springs day pass from $100. The pass carries a 21-and-over restriction. Robes, towels, lockers and sandals are available at the property. The brand prices spa treatments from $180.

CASCADA Bend opens in 2028. The brand publishes no Bend day-pass price and no booking channel. Its Bend page carries the address at 7 NW Bond St and an invitation form for the pre-opening list.

What the Bend site will carry

CASCADA Bend will hold a thermal wellness facility with eight pools. The thermal areas run adults-only. The hotel and its two restaurants serve guests of all ages.

The Bulletin describes the water experiences as drawn from Nordic bath traditions, Japanese onsens, Korean jjimjilbangs and Roman baths.

SolTerra's project page lists a rooftop thermal pool with Cascade Mountain views, a glass-roofed Conservatory pool hall, the candlelit Sanctuary and guest rooms with fireplaces. Each of the 68 rooms carries its own balcony and fireplace.

The brand's Bend gallery carries five room-labelled views: the building, the lobby, the rooms, the Conservatory and the Sanctuary. None carries a rate.

The rate the operator has in mind

Marc Coluccio told the Bulletin that Bend pricing is expected to be close to Portland's. He said the figure may fluctuate more because of Bend's seasonal tourism.

Coluccio told the Bulletin the project serves residents and travelers. "We think this will be a year-round amenity for the local community that they're going to truly enjoy," he said.

The Bulletin reports SolTerra selected Bend after considering other mountain communities. The company cited the city's outdoor recreation culture.

The hours a day pass has to fit

The Portland property runs thermal springs hours from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Tuesday runs 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday run 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Those hours set the daytime window a Bend day-pass visitor would plan against.

The membership tiers the brand publishes

CASCADA's membership page publishes three Portland tiers. Balance costs $320 a month with a $500 initiation fee and covers unlimited thermal springs access Monday through Thursday. Restore costs $300 a month with a $500 initiation fee and covers three thermal springs visits a month. Align costs $110 a month with a $110 initiation fee and covers one visit a month, Monday through Thursday.

Every tier includes classes at the movement studios and a member bracelet for entry. A membership base holds weekday volume through the months between ski season and summer.

The parking and the neighbors

The Bulletin reports construction fencing removed about 20 on-street parking spaces around the block. Richard Steffensen, president of Strictly Organic Coffee Co. in the Box Factory district, told the Bulletin the completed development will bring more visitors to nearby businesses. "When it finally opens, it'll be really good for business," he said.

The release states the on-site garage is designed to alleviate street parking congestion. The Bulletin puts that garage at roughly 80 to 85 spaces.

The Bulletin reports one neighboring business, Project Bike, will trade through construction. Its owner declined to comment.

The operating costs Bend takes on

The Bulletin reports the facility will purify water continuously with reverse osmosis, regenerative filtration and ultraviolet sanitation. The pools will not be routinely drained.

The Bulletin reports a glass conservatory roof built from transparent solar panels. The panels generate electricity and admit daylight. Coluccio told the Bulletin it is too early to estimate the share of building demand the array will meet.

SolTerra is not pursuing LEED certification for the project. The Bulletin reports the building is designed to the same standard as the company's LEED Platinum projects.

What the property adds

The release states the company expects more than 150 permanent jobs once the property opens, in addition to construction jobs during the build. The Bulletin puts construction at a little more than two years and the opening in late 2028. The release dates the opening to 2028.

Bend gains 68 rooms and an eight-pool thermal facility. Bend's day-pass price arrives with the property.
