Nokken prices Super Sauna from EUR 98,500 for hotel operators

Nokken's Super Sauna carries a published price of EUR 98,500 or USD 149,000, seats ten guests in one structure, and rests its demand case on Global Wellness Institute data.

The launch and the unit

Nokken released Super Sauna on 17 September 2026. Green Lodging News carried the vendor's text under a Nokken byline with an Essex, England, dateline.

The unit measures 10 metres by 3.4 metres by 3.2 metres. It holds a panoramic sauna for up to ten guests, an 18kW Tuisku XL 180 heater, dual 400-litre 316 stainless-steel cold plunges and outdoor showers. Nokken rates the plunges to 3°C. The structure uses FSC-certified timber. Buyers choose a Black Edition or a Baja Edition, and a two-tier or three-tier bench. Nokken ships the structure fully built and cranes it onto prepared foundation points. Water, power and drainage connect through an integrated base outlet.

The capital number

Nokken's product page prices Super Sauna from EUR 98,500, or USD 149,000. Shipping and installation are quoted per project, so the delivered cost sits above the published unit price. The 17 September release carries no price.

What a day-use operator prices

The unit seats ten guests at a time inside one structure. An operator selling daytime inventory can attach it to a spa pass or a timed recovery block. Nokken publishes no time-to-operation figure beyond the release's 24-hour line, so the payback on the capital number rests on the operator's own booking assumptions.

The demand data behind the pitch

The release rests its demand case on the Global Wellness Institute. The institute's 2025 Global Wellness Economy Monitor puts the wellness economy at USD 6,763.6 billion in 2024. That is 7.9 percent growth over 2023 and 6.12 percent of global GDP, up from 5.67 percent in 2019. The Monitor projects 7.6 percent annual growth to 2029 and a total near USD 9.8 trillion, equal to 7.08 percent of global GDP.

The release rounds those shares to 6.1 percent and 7.1 percent. The Monitor prints 6.12 and 7.08.

The operator line sits inside the spa sector. GWI values spas at USD 157.40 billion for 2024, up 14.6 percent on 2023. Hotel and resort spas account for USD 78.85 billion of that, up 19.4 percent. Thermal and mineral springs add USD 71.65 billion, up 11.1 percent. The release prints the two sector rates and omits the hotel and resort split.

GWI also measures the trip base. Wellness travellers made 1,239.1 million domestic and international wellness trips in 2024. Those trips were 8.3 percent of all trips and 17.6 percent of all tourism spending, against 6.3 percent and 14.2 percent in 2019. The spending share runs more than twice the trip share, because wellness travellers spend more per trip. The institute states that the wellness economy now exceeds IT, tourism, sports and pharmaceuticals in size, and that it is more than 30 percent larger than the green economy at USD 5.1 trillion in 2024.

Two claims without a measurement

The release says the structure is delivered "operational within 24 hours". Co-founder Nathan Aylott says a unit "can be earning within a day". Nokken's product page publishes no time-to-operation figure, so the 24-hour line rests on the release alone.

The release also states that the modular approach "cuts project timelines by an estimated 25 to 50 percent against traditional construction". Nokken publishes no method, no sample and no audit behind that band.

The standard citation

Nokken's product page states the specification is designed to align with EN 18164:2026. The release describes the standard without the number and calls it a new pan-European standard for commercial saunas introduced across the EU this year. Spa Business carries the numbered citation in its own write-up of the product.

Who Nokken is

Nokken's press page dates its acquisition of Space of Mind to 19 February 2026. Space of Mind Oy is a Finnish cabin maker, and Nokken absorbed its range. Nokken describes the deal as a formal expansion into wellness-led ritual and recovery. The vendor lists the range today under Space of Mind by Nokken.

The 17 September release calls Space of Mind "Nokken's wellness initiative". The February release names Space of Mind as an acquired Finnish company and quotes Craig McDonald as Nokken CEO. Both wordings are the vendor's own.

What an operator can price

Three items are firm. The unit costs from EUR 98,500 or USD 149,000, with shipping and installation on top. The demand base is measured and published. Hotel and resort spa revenue grew 19.4 percent in 2024.

Two items are not firm. The 24-hour operational window and the 25 to 50 percent timeline cut carry no published basis. Treat both as the vendor's own estimates until Nokken publishes the method.
