The daytime block the show writes
The Best Practices Expo & Conference runs October 13 to October 15, 2026 at the Indiana Convention Center. The venue forecasts 1,200 attendees. Conference sessions start at 8:00 a.m. Tuesday. The expo floor runs from noon to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday and noon to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, per the organiser's agenda. Thursday's last session closes at 12:15 p.m.
Those hours define the daytime demand. A delegate on the floor from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. holds a room for the nights at both ends and buys nothing for the hours between them.
The four windows the platforms sell
hotelSlots sells four slots: Morning from 6 a.m. to noon, Afternoon from noon to 6 p.m., Evening from 6 p.m. to midnight, and Overnight from midnight to 6 a.m. The platform defines a day-use room at 6 to 8 hours and prices day use 30 to 75 percent below the nightly rate. Dayuse measures the Indianapolis day-room average at $87.43 on September 22, 2026.
Engine measured the Indianapolis nightly average at $128 across 1.2 million public rate observations from May 2024 to April 2026. October averages $134 and January $114, on advance-purchase rates drawn from searches made 10 to 180 days before check-in.
The install crew needs the daylight first
The exhibitor prospectus sets move-in on Sunday, October 11 and Monday, October 12 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and a final window on Tuesday from 7:00 to 11:00 a.m. A crew on the floor through the Sunday install holds the Saturday night and uses the Monday daylight to build. The Tuesday window closes an hour before the first session starts.
Move-out runs Wednesday from 5:30 to 10:00 p.m. and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The evening window on Wednesday and the daytime window on Thursday both sit inside a booked night at one end.
Where the room nights concentrate
Three programme nights carry the delegates: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday against a Thursday checkout. Exhibiting companies add the Saturday and Sunday nights for the install. Monday is the arrival peak for delegates who attend the 8:00 a.m. Tuesday opening.
The venue connects 4,700 rooms to the Center through its skywalk system against 7,100 downtown rooms. The skywalks close on a rule of thumb of about 11:00 p.m. and reopen about 6:00 a.m., and the venue states the exact hours are event-dependent.
Two host blocks, one cut-off still open
The organiser holds $214 rooms at the Crowne Plaza Downtown Union Station, with the group cut-off extended to Friday, September 25, and $229 rooms at the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis, with a reserve-by date of Friday, September 18. Both connect to the Center through indoor tunnels, and the organiser states the reduced-rate inventory is limited.
What follows the Thursday
The organiser's agenda adjourns the conference at 12:15 p.m. on Thursday, and exhibitors move out until 6:00 p.m. A delegate with an evening flight holds the Afternoon window from noon to 6:00 p.m. after a Thursday checkout. The venue's calendar carries no entry for Saturday, October 17 or Sunday, October 18.
