The Delivery on the Jail Site
The Fever Sports Performance Center broke ground on September 4, 2025. Axios Indianapolis reported the $78 million budget and the 108,000 square feet across three floors. Pacers Sports & Entertainment released the design on January 16, 2025 and put the construction start in August 2025. The building opens before the 2027 WNBA season.
An affiliate of Pacers Sports & Entertainment builds on the west half of the former Marion County Jail site, at the corner of Alabama and Maryland streets. The release connects the center to the Virginia Avenue Parking Garage and Gainbridge Fieldhouse by skybridge.
The Program the Release Publishes
Two regulation-sized courts with natural light anchor the plan. Strength and conditioning equipment, a yoga and Pilates area, a hydration station and a full-service kitchen fill the performance floors. A spa-like retreat carries massage, infrared light therapy, a sauna, steam and heat studios, a float tank and multiple hydrotherapy pools. A private outdoor courtyard and mental performance spaces complete the player areas, with a hair and nail salon, childcare space and a podcast and content production studio alongside.

What the Program Means for Daytime Inventory
Courts, treatment rooms, studios, a sauna and a float tank run on a daytime clock. The published amenity list describes the same window a day-use buyer books, and the building's own schedule repeats that window across the year.
Indianapolis publishes its downtown inventory on the venue's attendee pages. Downtown carries 7,100 hotel rooms, 4,700 of them connected to the Indiana Convention Center by skywalk, 200 restaurants within walking distance and more than 70,000 parking spaces. Visit Indy counts $3 billion in new tourism-related projects downtown, and the Signia Hilton and convention center expansion open in December 2026 at 803 rooms and 38 stories, lifting the connected set to 13 properties and 5,500 rooms under one roof.
No publisher prints a day-use room count for Indianapolis, a daytime rate or an hourly inventory figure for the corridor.
The Corridor Question
Three questions decide whether the corridor sells daytime windows. The first is which downtown blocks can release rooms between check-out and check-in. The second is whether the arena block holds inventory through a home stand. The third is what an event-day daytime rate does to the overnight rate on the same date.
