Two Published Figures
The Indiana Convention Center forecasts 20,000 attenders for the Monumental Health and Fitness Expo in Exhibit Hall A-B on 6 November 2026.
A banner across monumentalmarathon.com reads that general registration for all in-person distances is sold out, with limited charity entries still available.
The venue forecasts footfall on an expo floor. The organiser records a registration state across a full marathon, a half marathon and a 5K.
No page on the organiser's site carries a participant count.
One Friday Night and a 6:30 Release
Packet pickup fills the hall across two windows. Thursday 5 November runs 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday 6 November runs 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The two windows total twelve published hours.
Gear check opens at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday 7 November at Washington Street and West Street. The half marathon and the full marathon start at 8:00 a.m. The 5K starts at 8:40 a.m. The course closes at 3:30 p.m.
The organiser ties the two clocks together. The official clear gear check bag is issued at the expo. Every participant must use that bag.
A runner who works the Friday night carries the bag they will check ten and a half hours later. The Friday window carries the later close and the shorter runway to the start.
Measuring the Floor Against the Inventory
The venue footer gives 7,100 hotel rooms in downtown Indianapolis and 4,700 rooms connected to the Convention Center by skywalks.
Run the forecast against those counts. At two attenders per room, 20,000 attenders imply 10,000 rooms. That equals 140.8 percent of the published 7,100 downtown rooms and 212.8 percent of the 4,700 skywalk-connected rooms. The skywalk network carries 66.2 percent of the downtown inventory.
Read that ratio as an upper bound. The venue forecasts attenders, not room nights. No source publishes how many of the 20,000 take a hotel room, how many book outside downtown, or how many drive in from the metro. Race weekend spreads arrivals across the Thursday, the Friday and the Saturday.
Six Bookings on the Venue Calendar for November
The venue's own calendar covers the month. Its November 2026 feed lists six bookings, each with a published forecast attendance.
The National Science Teaching Assn Fall Convention opens the month from 4 to 7 November at 4,000 attenders. It runs across the expo's Friday inside the same two buildings.
The rest of the month reads: Monumental Health and Fitness Expo, 6 November, 20,000; Midwest Healthcare Engineering Conference and Trade Show, 8 to 10 November, 600; IU Health Leadership Development Institute, 10 November, 2,200; Percussive Arts Society International Convention, 11 to 14 November, 5,200; ASHA Convention, 19 to 21 November, 13,500.
The expo holds one Friday inside a month of consecutive bookings. Every day of that week carries another event on the same two buildings, so the expo's 20,000 arrives into a floor already in use.
The Block and Its Dates
The organiser publishes a block across downtown hotels, booked through the 2026 Hotel Block website with Attendee selected and no access code.
Four dates shape it. 29 September is the deadline to assign guest occupant names to rooms held under one name. 8 October is the deadline to cancel without penalty, at a $25 fee per reservation after that date. New reservations and added nights run 5 October to 16 October, with the date varying by hotel. Modifications through the Visit Indy Housing Bureau close 22 October, and after that date the guest contacts the hotel directly.
The organiser publishes the block policy and no per-hotel rate.
The venue footer also gives 200 downtown restaurants and 15 minutes to Indianapolis International Airport.
