Four days, 4,000 delegates, 7,100 rooms
The National Science Teaching Assn Fall Convention runs 4 to 7 November 2026 at the Indiana Convention Center, 100 S Capitol Avenue, Indianapolis. The venue publisher forecasts 4,000 attendees and dates the run Wednesday to Saturday. The organiser dates the same four days on its own site and publishes no attendance figure.
Downtown Indianapolis holds 7,100 hotel rooms, and the convention center reports 4,700 of them connected to the building by skywalk. The organiser books its block through IMN Solutions. The block covers 13 properties from 189 dollars to 279 dollars a night, first-come and space-available, and reservations close on 11 October 2026.
The organiser states that it will run no shuttle between the conference hotels and the center.

Wednesday 4 November opens registration at 10:00 a.m. and closes it at 6:00 p.m. The ticketed Professional Learning Institutes run 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The Leadership Development Academy runs 8:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. A concurrent session runs 3:15 to 4:15 p.m., the opening reception 4:15 to 5:15 p.m., and an entertainment hour 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Thursday 5 November runs registration from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Concurrent sessions open at 8:00 a.m., the keynote speaker runs 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., and the expo hall works 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with exclusive hours from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Poster sessions run 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Concurrent sessions resume at 1:00 p.m. and close at 4:40 p.m.
Friday 6 November runs registration from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Concurrent sessions run 8:00 to 11:40 a.m. and 1:20 to 5:00 p.m. The expo hall works 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with exclusive hours from 11:40 a.m. to 1:20 p.m. Speed sharing runs 1:20 to 2:20 p.m.
Saturday 7 November runs registration from 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Concurrent sessions run 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The expo hall works 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and the closing reception runs 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.
The windows those clocks leave
A day room sells part of a room-day. The convention holds the city for the nights from Tuesday 3 November through Saturday 7 November, and the grid leaves the hours between the sessions open.
Wednesday carries the window from 3:45 to 4:15 p.m. between the Academy close and the concurrent session, and the afternoon that follows the 3:00 p.m. institute close. Thursday and Friday carry the 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. poster hour and the 11:40 a.m. to 1:20 p.m. expo window. Saturday frees the hours after the 1:00 p.m. expo close and the whole evening after the 3:00 p.m. end of the closing reception.
The venue bounds the connected stock. The skywalk page states its hours as event-dependent, with a rule of thumb of lock-down at approximately 11:00 p.m. and reopening at approximately 6:00 a.m.
The rate base
Two published averages frame a day rate. Engine publishes an Indianapolis average of 128 dollars a night across 1.2 million public rate observations from May 2024 to April 2026, with November at 122 dollars and October at 134 dollars. Engine prints its own caveat that its figures are par rates, the cheapest public price at the time of each search. Dayuse publishes an average day-room price of 87.43 dollars for Indianapolis, and it names Quality Inn & Suites Southport on the south side as its recommended hourly hotel there.

The venue's event feed carries the convention center's November book. The center has no booking between the close of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers National Conference on 31 October and the NSTA open on 4 November. Friday 6 November carries the Monumental Health and Fitness Expo in Exhibit Hall A-B at a forecast 20,000. The feed then lists the Midwest Healthcare Engineering Conference and Trade Show from 8 to 10 November at 600, the IU Health Leadership Development Institute on 10 November at 2,200, the Percussive Arts Society International Convention from 11 to 14 November at 5,200, and the ASHA Convention from 19 to 21 November at 13,500.
Lucas Oil Stadium next door lists the ISSMA State Marching Band Finals on Saturday 7 November at 9:30 a.m. and a Colts home game against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday 8 November at 1:00 p.m.
The supply read
Four thousand attendees against 7,100 downtown rooms puts the whole convention inside the downtown base at two attendees a room. The organiser's block takes 13 of those properties, and the skywalk network carries 4,700 rooms. Friday is the tight night of the run: the expo forecast of 20,000 shares the day with the third convention day. The mid-days and the Saturday afternoon stay open for inventory sold by the hour.
