Six days hold the booking
The NW Martial Arts Festival prices entry in two windows. A competitor pays $130 for a first event and $60 for each event after it through 24 October. A $50 late fee applies from 25 October, and online registration closes at 11:59pm PST on 30 October.
The window between the fee and the close runs six calendar days. Club rosters and the travel decision behind them land inside it.
The schedule arrives after the close
The association releases the final schedule on 2 November. Registration closed on 30 October, so a club commits its rooms three days before it learns its session times. Competition runs 8am to 5pm on Saturday 7 November in Hall A.
Where a fence dated to the event lands
A fence dated to 7 November sits eight days past the last published booking step. A fence dated to 30 October holds the day the roster stops moving.
The published price steps size the window. The $50 late fee is 38 percent of a $130 first event. The coach and media pass moves from $100 to $150 on 25 October, a 50 percent step.
The day window the event creates
Hall A is booked from 7am to 8pm and competition fills 8am to 5pm. That Saturday block serves a guest who needs a room for the morning and a place to change before an 8am start.
A day-use room covers the same window. Overnight demand sits on the Friday before the event and on the Saturday night that precedes the association's black belt graduation.
No count to size it
The venue record, the association event page and the outline publish no attendance figure. The gate price is $20 for a spectator, cash only, and it carries no volume. The outline sends lodging to Expedia with no property, rate or cut-off, and the venue carries no room block.
The property sizes the weekend from its own record of the same dates.
The second night the weekend carries
The association runs its black belt graduation on 8 November at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Portland Airport, 7900 NE 82nd Avenue. Candidates report at 8:45am and spectators enter at 12:45pm. A family entered in both events books a Saturday night, and the Sunday morning sits 10.5 km from the convention centre.
Two dates to put on the fence
The first is 30 October, the last day the roster can move. The second is 24 October, the last day the printed entry price holds. The document publishes no room rate to match and no discount to copy, so the fence carries the published step of $50.
