Sizzle Debuts Rosa, a Synth Human, at Sheraton Universal Hotel

Sizzle, Inc. put Rosa, a conversational video Synth Human, live at Sheraton Universal Hotel on 13 October. Guests reach her by QR code on their own phone in more than 33 languages, with no app and no in-room hardware.

Rosa Goes Live at Sheraton Universal Hotel

Sizzle, Inc. announced Rosa, a Synth Human built for Sheraton Universal Hotel, on 13 October 2026. The product carries face-to-face conversational video hospitality to the guest's phone. LODGING Magazine published the announcement the same day.

Guests scan a QR code in the arrival welcome letter to reach Rosa. The service runs around the clock and speaks more than 33 languages. The guest downloads no app. The property installs no dedicated guest-facing hardware.

What Rosa Answers

Rosa handles questions about reservations, parking, valet, room service, dining, amenities, shuttle information and other hotel services. Sizzle calls her a single conversational starting point for the stay.

When a request needs a person, Rosa routes the guest to the hotel team that owns it. The front desk sits one tap away inside the same conversation.

The Operator Side

Sizzle's platform page lists the systems behind the deployment. Guest requests route to the right department. Dining and in-room dining sit inside the conversation. The page states that Rosa connects to the property management system, the point-of-sale system and guest messaging.

A management dashboard holds every conversation. Sheraton Universal also receives a bespoke system to review and correct Rosa's answers, with the accuracy, tone and service details open to adjustment as guest needs change.

No Hardware in the Guest Room

Rosa runs on the phone the guest carries. The equipment list carries no hotel tablets and no other guest-facing devices. Sizzle's own page states zero apps to download, zero hardware for the hotel and zero advertising for the guest.

The Property and the Destination

Russell Cox is the owner's representative for Sheraton Universal Hotel. "Technology earns its place in a hotel when it improves the stay and makes sound business sense," Cox said. He said Rosa gives the hotel a personal way to serve guests on the phones they already carry, with no hardware investment in every room and no advertising inside the guest experience.

Tom Beedon is the general manager of Sheraton Universal Hotel. "Our guests have come here to enjoy themselves, and every moment of their visit matters," Beedon said. He said Rosa gives guests more time on the reason for the trip and makes the next step feel effortless.

Brian Weiner is the founder and chief executive of Sizzle, Inc. "Synth Humans are operational intelligence. Personified," Weiner said. He said the technology carries a hotel's expertise to each guest face to face.

The Property at 333 Universal Hollywood Drive

Sheraton Universal Hotel stands beside Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal CityWalk in Universal City, California. The property's own description names it the Hotel of the Stars and lists a complimentary shuttle to the park, an outdoor pool and a fitness center.

Dining runs California Kitchen + Cocktails for regional American cuisine, In the Mix for drinks and small bites, and Universal Perk for coffee. The rooftop Starview Room takes meetings and events. The hotel belongs to Marriott Bonvoy's Sheraton brand.

Sizzle's Experience Pass connects guests with hotel services and with Universal CityWalk, Universal Studios Hollywood, restaurants, concerts, museums, clubs and Los Angeles sports.

The Language Counts

The release gives Rosa more than 33 languages at Sheraton Universal. Sizzle's platform pages state 70 or more languages across the studio's library.
