170 Rooms Enter the Day-Use Pool
The InterContinental Indianapolis holds 170 guest rooms and suites at 17 West Market Street. IHG Hotels & Resorts states a $120 million restoration of the Illinois Building, an added rooftop floor and an 11-story building. The property opened in February 2025 and began welcoming guests on February 20th.

The Pool Those 170 Rooms Join
Day-use inventory comes from standing hotel stock. The Indiana Convention Center counts 7,100 hotel rooms in downtown Indianapolis and 4,700 rooms connected to the building by skywalk. The hotelSlots Indianapolis directory carries 273 properties.
The platform publishes 103,857 hotels across 46 states, four day-use windows and day rates 30 to 75 percent below the nightly rate at the same hotel, with no booking fee to the guest.
The Rate Points Behind a Day Rate
IBJ published the opening rates: a king room from $287, or $273 for IHG One Rewards members, and a one-bedroom luxury suite with city views from $737 a night, or $700 for members. Dayuse publishes $87.43 as the average price of a day room in Indianapolis. Engine puts the city average nightly rate at $128 across 1.2 million public rate observations from May 2024 to April 2026, and its month table puts February at $107, the cheapest month of the year.
The property publishes no day-use rate, no hourly rate and no daytime availability window. A seller pricing daytime inventory pairs the four published windows — Morning 6 a.m. to noon, Afternoon noon to 6 p.m., Evening 6 p.m. to midnight and Overnight midnight to 6 a.m. — with the nightly entry rate at the property.
What the Opening Added Above the Pool
The IHG release states an entire rooftop floor added in the restoration, and the building now stands 11 stories. Astrea, the city's first rooftop bar overlooking Monument Circle, occupies the 11th floor. IBJ counts 200 seats in the rooftop restaurant and cocktail lounge. The release also states the city's only Penthouse Suite on a private floor and the largest Presidential Suite in the city.
No publisher carries a suite count, a count of rooms facing the Circle or a view premium. The $120 million figure covers the whole restoration, and no page splits the rooftop floor out of it.

The Signia Hilton Indianapolis carries 803 rooms inside a 143,500-square-foot convention centre expansion with a 50,000-square-foot ballroom, at $710 million and an anticipated December 2026 opening. Visit Indy states the expansion lifts the connected package to 13 properties and 5,500 hotel rooms under one roof.
