Miami Film Festival GEMS runs Oct. 29 to Nov. 5, 2026 on a single ticket ladder. The rungs do not change by night.
The ladder
Opening Night, The Debut with a pre-reception, costs $55, or $50 for members. Closing Night, Club Kid, costs $25, or $22. A Centerpiece costs $20, or $17. A General Screening costs $16.50, or $14.50. Special Screenings run $25 to $82, or $22 to $87 for members. A Variety A Conversation With seat costs $40, or $35.
The ticketing page adds a $2 to $10 processing fee on each ticket and each event, and states that prices across the programme run from $9 to $100.
Two days carry half the programme
The festival calendar dates 45 sessions between Oct. 29 and Nov. 5. Saturday, Oct. 31 carries 11 and Sunday, Nov. 1 carries 11. Those two days hold 22 of the 45 sessions across four rooms at once: the Bill Cosford Cinema, the Koubek Center, Silverspot Cinema and Coral Gables Art Cinema.
Thursday, Nov. 5 closes with three: Bedford Park at O Cinema, Club Kid at the Koubek Center and First Light at Coral Gables Art Cinema. The two Variety conversations run at MDC Wolfson.
Silverspot Cinema carries 13 of the 45 sessions, the largest single share.
The release clock
Tickets are purchased or not purchased. The festival does not hold reservations.
A screening marked At Rush has every allotted ticket claimed. The festival sells empty seats to the Rush Line at 15 minutes to show time, and a patron joins the line outside the room before then.
Box offices open one hour before the first screening of the day and close 30 minutes after the last. A ticket bought at one venue works at every venue during the run.
The fee runs on every ticket
Two General seats on Oct. 31 cost $33 in ticket price and carry $4 to $20 in fees. The fee band applies per ticket, so a three-film day carries three fees.
Discount routes outside the ladder
Students, seniors and veterans buy at a discount with valid identification at the box office. Miami Dade College students hold access to free tickets in limited quantities. Film Society members hold member pricing on every rung. A pass covers six or twelve films at a discounted rate.
Orders are final, and the festival allows no refunds or exchanges. A ticket can be given to another person. The festival publishes no seat count for any room, so a sold-out session carries no size.
What the ladder holds for a revenue manager
The price is fixed by session type, and the release happens at the door 15 minutes before a start. The ladder holds the price of every rung. The box office window and the Rush Line hold the clock on unsold inventory.
